Read the install instructions of the audio ! If u use WIndows XP Sp1 (not sure if SP1 .... ) , i belive u have to download from microsoft some updates .... there should be some links in the instructions ...

Try downloading this driver:

Just select the audio from the first drop-down menu and wait for the info bar at the top of the page to drop down and download the driver then install it and resart.

download high definition audio driver for Realtek family..

if you dont know your soudcard name and number then install PC Wizard 2008, install it, run it, it will display all the name of the devices of your computer...

download PC Wizard from the given link..

Before installing, make sure, you have windows with sevice pack 3

Exclamation Mark in Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus

You will need to reload the drivers for your audio device. Where you saw the exclamation mark, if you right click, properties, you should see a tab for reinstall drivers. This should take care of your problem. (As a back-up, if the reinstall does not work, check the Acer support page, and download the drivers for your model notebook.) Good luck.

you shouldn't have a problem, Vista uses Realtek high definition audio, assuming this is the sound make you use you need to install the normal Realtek audio driver, see below:-
