if you have connected your sky box as per instructions, putting the aerial coax to it and a fly lead(as in a male to female coax as used on a vcr to tv) from the output to the tv's aerial input, then disconnect the aerial from the sky box and put it back to the tv. The skybox will weaken and even loose the signal.

Built in freeview doesn't work but digibox does

Have you done a channel search on both tv sources(atv and dtv). most new tv's will automatically start will "New Install". If you havent had a digital installed recently then this could the problem. set top boxes and TV's will pick up the signal ok but others wont.

Lost BBC channels on my SAGEM PVR6200T during a retune

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

I have a Thomson DTI6300-16 freeview box. I'm

This could solve problem
1. Select Menu, Set-Up, Help.
2. Press the Green button on the remote control.
3. This shows the Advanced Information screen.
4. Now press the Blue button which will prompt you with a warning box.
5. Now press the Green button if you wish to proceed.
6. The DTR will take around a minute to complete the reformat, and will then automatically restart itself.
Next do a channel rescan.

Solved the problem by connecting the freeview box back into the dvd recorder. Apparently because the dvdr was made before tvs with integrated freeview, it can only recieve decoded signals from a freeview box, ie analog

My Thompson Freeview box keeps stuttering/time lapse freezing.

Hi Ive just bought a thomson dtr box and the picture keeps freezing .new arial new cable etc.well ive just tried a £20 freeview box and its fine good clear picture and dosnt freeze.I had a good signal when using the thompson box and its the box load of rubbish taking it back to shop.

Sony 46v5100 I'm getting no signal when I turn on tv. I have a ROKU box that works on all my HDMI inputs. I have cox cable. When I go to signal diagnostics my over the air channels have good signal strength 89, SNR (db) 30. However when I switch to cable my diagnostics gives me nil numbers.Signal strength zero, SNR N/A,. Would you agree the signal is getting lost from my cable box output to the tv input. Cable guy says its not their problem because they can reset my box remotely. A remote signal to reset the box is not the same as a incoming video and audio signal. My question is the signal diagnostic good to check incoming cable signal.I have never used it when I had a good signal.
