Re: no sound

Try Referring to Owners manual about the Intialization procedure. This will reset unit to factory defaults. Then try setting up like you bought it new. Procedure enatails pressing two buttons when turning on main power switch. . All leds will light up to let you know Unit has been initialized. Denon provides free manual downloads if you don't have manual.

How do I hook up spaekers to a Denon TU-550 Receiver and get sound results

what you have is a tuner. it is just a receiver, not one with an amp included. you will need a amp to get this to operate. the tuner is one of the best they made. it is a keeper. i would get a quality amp and use it. this is what was refered to in the past as seperates. purchase seperate tuner, amp, and may an eq.

My new computer is equiped with a P5K-E motherboard with window vista ultimum. I connected the speakers (over 6 years old) from my old computer. It had been working for a while then suddenly there is no...

I'm going to guess, though, that your audio drivers are either nor installed or not working. Go to Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Device Manager, and look under Sound, video and game controllers acn check if the sound devcie is working properly if not reinstall driver....

Hope that helps.......

Receiver static

It could be just a lead, check your lead heads and inserts are clean.
Check along your leads and wires for any obvious kinks / tight bends / cuts / nicks / something sitting down on it or any damage to the wires.

It could be there is another electrical device nearby interfering at a electromagnetic level.

It could be just the dials / knobs need taking off and cleaning in behind. the pickups, you may not need to remove them just spray with electronic cleaner b3203b06-4ced-4fda-befd-44f385f97b7e.jpg this stuff is great for lots of different electrical cleaning problems.
Good luck

Cannot get sound out of the system

Was everything working before you connected the new blue ray? Start by trouble shooting the receiver by starting over. Unplug everything except speakers. Switch to FM tuner, tune in a local station and see if you get any sound. Be sure you have the correct A or B speakers selected. This unit also has different sound options and default should be on "2 way" so only the two front speakers are to receive a signal.
If you get nothing, turn the volume to max and let us know if you get even a faint buzz. Follow up with results.

My speakers arn't working with my new t.v.

Any sound from other sources ie. a CD/DVD unit, Tuner etc.? If so then the issue is the signal path fron the TV to receiver, What cableing do you have from TV audio output? Try standard analog 2 channel to the receiver tv in, be sure you select TV on the receiver mode, also check the TV sound menu options, some require that you disable TV speakers and use the audio line-out option fixed or variable.

Dvd hook up

Depending on what leads you have and what connections your equipment has depends on how you would wire it up for a basic setup you need a set of three male to male rca a leads consisting of a RED WHITE and Yellow plugs at each end. Now on the back of your dvd player there should be three female holes the same colou as your plugs and near those holes it should say input plug the leads colour to colour now the other ends of the lead plug into the section of your amp thats says dvd input with the same style holes as the dvd player. then you need to run another cable the same as you have just used to take the sound and picture to the tv you start of plugging one end into the amp where it says monitor or tv out and then at the other end of the lead will plug into the tv in A/V1 or A/V2 if the A/V1 is being used for a video player or camcorder Yellow is Picture Red is Right Sound Channel And White is Left Sound Channel so only plud the matching colours to each other or you will end up no better off hopefully this helped if you get stuck my email is

No sound?

Hi Sicarius

I know it sounds dumb to ask these questions as you may or may not have already, but have you checked that any tape monitors are turned on. Another thing to check is that the "prein preout" jumpers are in place on the rear of the unit. If they are not there, just use a spare rca lead to jumper them. Let me know how you got on. Good luck
