Question about HP PSC 950 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Have HP PSC 950 when it's turn on the print head moves to the left side and then makes a chatting noise of gears, then moves back to the middle were the print head gets stuck on a black finger one of four and then comes up with align cartridge. Any ideas?
When I worked at staples. I sold theses Units and that actually was a common problem. We had a number of returns of that unit with that exact problem. What happens is that a small plastic piece inside breaks off and the gears no longer work properly. The firmware on the machine then thinks the cartridges are not aligned. If the unit is out of warranty then I would suggest buying a new printer. HP is really good when it comes to ink yield. and it is usually a decent product. However like any products off an assembly line, there are lemons. There made to break down eventually anyway, Company's wouldn't make money if they lasted forever.
