Assuming you're using SD cards, they top out at 2GB. Cards larger than 2GB are SDHC and they will not work in the DMC-TZ1. So, you may use SD cards up to 2GB in size.

yes. all this is due to settings only. just keep the settings in auto. let the camera decide itself for the best settting depending upon the lightings avilable.
this must help. else you will have to tell me when settings you have tried and in what all situatuions the photo was dark. also post some samples.

The position from the dial wheel is not corresponding with the electrical position. If you can do it by yourself you can adjust it and tighten the midscrew from the dialwheel
