Go to programs and hit new. name your program and then you can type away. This is where you can actually program programs such as as program that will do the Quadratic Program and stuff like that but that's more complicated. But now to look at that stuff hit prgm. and then edit and you can look at what you want to see. GOOD LUCK hope this helps

I purchased a maxtor drive ~3yrs ago when I got a new laptop from my company. I successfully saved c:drive components to the new drive. I am now about to get another new laptop and am trying to copy...

Well, you could create a folder on your c:drive (call it something meaningful) and save all your current stuff to this folder.
Ideally you want all your original saved stuff in one folder, and all your new saved stuff in a different folder on the drive, that way you can manage and navigate around your saved data and understand clearly where it is and where it's from.
Hope this helps!

Yes. If the calculator is showing something like ln(2) for an answer, press diamond ENTER to convert to a numeric answer. To have all results come out numerically, press MODE F2, use down-arrow to move to Exact/Approx, right-arrow, and select APPROXIMATE. Press ENTER twice to save the change.

Saving what I typed

Depends on what you are trying to save... you can save a variables(numbers) as a "stored value"(store and recall button [STO> and shift RCL>]).

You can bring back what you just typed in (without retyping it all) by hitting 2nd(or shift) enter.
