My acoustic solutions tv turns itself off every time i switch it on, what could be the cause

It may be detecting shorted circuits in the power supply, backlight inverter boards, main board. You need to troubleshoot the problem starting at the power supply module first.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools, electronics knowledge, and know safety precaution then please read on:

Please see my basic troubleshooting guide here:
Failed TV and Monitors:
Learn about bad caps:
Capacitors kit: he can make you a set of caps.
Or, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.
Please post back what you find.

Tv wont stay on

Remove and check capacitors in power supply board with a multi meter. All capacitors should have +/- 20% of the uf rating. I've had a similar problem with my toshiba 35". I found a 50v 22uf cap that only read about 5 to 6uf, well below the 20% window. When I unplugged the t.v. and replugged it I could here the relay click but the t.v. would immediately shut off. After ordering and replacing the ten cent cap, NO MORE PROBLEMS!

Toshiba TV32C50, chassis TAC9307, no start, but relay 'clicks'. No obvious electrolytic capacitor failure but power supply C801 (470 mfd, 200 V) replaced, no change.

Relay picking usually means the low voltage circuit is OK. You have a High voltage problem. Try changing the Horiz Out Transistor.

LG CT-29K30EX 29" TV plugged

LG CT-29K30EX 29" TV - We have the same symptoms as described. If you are a person who is not afraid of opening the back cover of your TV and replacing parts inside. this tip is for you. Contact a service person if your not 100% sure. Its actually easy, it involves replacing a small capacitor in the power supply section. You don't need to troubleshoot coz i've done that for you for free. Find this capacitor in the power supply. C801 with a value of 100uf / 35V. De solder and replaced it with the same value or a much higher Voltage rating e.g. 50V. Done! your T.V. is alive again. - Rey Tilles - New Zealand

Trying to get Capacitor Rating

What you have there is a VZ-2B chassis built in 1995. The caps you're looking at are in the regulator circuit 981 (22uf/50v) and 982/983 (47uf/50v) which is NOT the only problem you have there. I would strongly suspect that the regulator itself will need to be replaced and you might find anywhere from two to three dozen caps in that unit in need of replacement.
If you know how to ESR a cap and have the equipment go for it and let me know what you find. I would be surprised if you found even more than three dozen with high ESR.
If you're not that technically inclined take it to a repair center and have them estimate it before the work is done and discuss with them how many caps they find that are in need of replacement.
If they find less than 12 with high ESR they're not likely doing a very good job.

The fault is on the PSU board.
Replace D 28 on the PSU board. You have to use a fast diode (I used BYW 95). Replace also the
330 uF/35V and the 22uF/50V near to this diode.
After this the unit will work perfect.

Zenith TV B32A24Z

You have a power supply problem. On this set the entire board is available for exchange but it is most likely not going to be worth the repair as these boards run for about 120 to 145 bucks. Good luck
