Question about HP Pavillion ZV6000 Notebook
I'm having a problem with my key pad on my laptop. Once I press a letter it does not work. All other things work but I can not type. What could possibly be wrong with this picture. I've check the keyboard folder and it says that this device is working properly.... wrong!!!! Please help me. I have windows xp
It sounds to me that you have either, A) a loose keyboard connection underneath, which can be easily repaired by removing the keyboard from it's mountings and reseating the connecting cable, or B) IRQ Fault errors that are preventing the system from receiving the subsequent key presses and can be best diagnosed and repaired by a qualified service technician. I'm not sure how the keyboard is held in place exactly, so I cannot precisely tell you how to remove to check the connection. What I can tell you is that there will be screws on the underside that assist with the hold down.
Hope this helps!
