Re: rf connector broke off

Your in luck the set can be repaired. a replacement F connector is available pt # 215543 from any RCA parts disributor. Have a tech help you with the replacement it can be tricky. in the mean time if you have a VCR use that with the compsite video hookup to the tv and let the VCR be your tuner.

I have a Vizio M550VSE 47in, and the RF Connector broke off. I can solder very well but am having trouble finding the parts model, any suggestions.

It is a semi-skilled work. You might have to desolder out it tuner from the circuit board to make it repair. RF socket is the part of that tuner. If will be best to contact any service technician.

I accidently knocked my satallite box down, which pulled out and broke off the VHF/UHF jack. Is this something that would be expensive to fix, or is it something I can fix myself?

The repair to replace the RF connector can be a long and complicated one. You should probably take this to a TV tech for repair. Or in another case, if you have a video one or a video two connection, apply RCA cords from the satellite box to the TV. Save a the price of a repair. Thanks for asking and give me a few hands!

I am trying to connect a DVD player to a RCA F25216BC 25" TV - the TV only has an F type Coax connector and does not have a CH 3 or 4 switch - I put the input from the wall to the DVD player and out to the...

Your TV must be equipped with AV inputs (RCA jacks - yellow, white, red)
in order to connect this unit. If your TV does not have AV inputs, you will need a RF Modulator to connect the DVD recorder to your TV's
antenna/cable input. RF Modulators are available at
major electronics retailers such as Radio Shack or Wal-Mart and allow the 3 RCA outs from the recorder to connect to the RF modulator RCA inputs and then you can connect a coaxial cable from the modulator to the TV RF input and select channel 3 or 4 on the TV. The DVD recorder will not pass thru signals to the TV using coaxial cable as far as DVD are concerned.

Rf conector broke

You have two choices, you can: Take the set to a repair shop and have the tuner replaced. (expensive) Or you can use a VCR or other device with a tuner and fees video and sound in through the RCA jacks on the TV like you would to connect a video game console. Some shops that are worth a darn will actually repair the broken RF connector. You might ask the shop about what options they offer for that repair.

I have a 36 in Toshiba 2003 TV, model # 36A43. The cable connector on the back of the TV snapped off, Is there an easy fix? Can I buy another part? Any suggestions?

There is really no easy fix...but patience is on your side if you have some. You will need to buy an RF connector at a electronics store..Please visit a commercial dealer, Radio Shack is to limited! Pull the tuner out of the tv board, open the cover that contains the solders. Lets hope the board is not cracked. and be sure one of those small coils are not pulled out..Donot even think about touching or moving these coils if you open the wrong side ot the tuner shield. Reconnect the tail of the RF connector through the board. You sometimes will have to cut the tail length wise for a fit. [You better buy two RF conectors just incase you make a goof. Then solder the a ring around the RF connector to the tuner box. Reinstall into the tv board! Hope this works!

Cable hookup broken

Sometimes you can replace the rf connector by resoldering it with a replacement rf. You will have to remove the tuner to do this. The big question is did you crack the tuner board or the board the tuner is connected to. You will really have to examine these. In most of my cases a successful replacement rf connector will fix.

cristal and IC to be replaced and solderings on all grounds in the tuner unit. maybe costly for a tv of that age, for the fine lines there are 2 ajustements on the back of the tv set, one is focus and the other one is sceen, that ajustement is too high , just turn the ajustement counterclockwise. the tv will become darker

Quasar tv atenna/connector broke on tv

Yes if your cable box has RCA yellow, white, red, outputs on it and your tv has RCA inputs on it you can hook it up that way. It'll only cost you one set of RCA cables which are not expensive at all.

Broken RF Connector

Its fixable. the question is how much of the inside broke with it. cost for repair on that usually averages 45 to 65 dollars... unless tuner is damaged in most cases not. if not hooked to tuner then maybe a new isolation block..simple job Good luck
