Question about RCA 25110RE3 Phone
Phone works fine, but once I switch to the headset no one can hear me...I toggled the mute function a bunch of times, but no change.
I can hear the person on the other end, but they can't hear me...
My guess is bad wiring in the headset mic...any ideas?
Same problem, 1 year old unit. Took it apart and it seems the wire from the mic was frayed at the spot it enters the ear piece. I think it is from the rotation of the mic arm. Unable to rejoin the two wires so throwing unit away. I think the key to longevity with these RCA's is to not swing the arm from end to end - treat it gently, leave it in place for either right or left side use but don't try to use for both. If this is really the cause of all these headset failures the fix for RCA would be simply to beef up the wire or pad it where it enters the ear piece. Sounds easy enough to me, what do you think RCA???
