I can't use my ACER CDRW because the old software habgs up. So I tried to upgrade my disk Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4.02c / DirectCD 3.01c. My computer guru uninstalled these programs because of conflicts. I want to upgade but I can't because I don't have the old creator installed anymore.
What do I do to upgrade the software and maybe drivers? Do I have to junk the CDRW? ACER is impossible to talk to/write emails to...no response.

- Would you leave this problem open..I still need to contact them tomorrow and need updated CDCreator and Direct CD upgraded without having it on the computer (removed for incompatability so upgrade impossible) drivers seem to work. I hit accept without thinking it out.jack

- I tried calling but the guy from Indonesia had no idea what I was talking about. The MS warning was "known conflict" with the Easy CD Creator 4.02C. All I want to do is to down load an up to date ACER / ADAPTEC program made for the ACER IDE 8432 CDRW 2001 model.Any other ideas??
