Hi,

The obvious answer to this would be.
That the gamecube controller, is faulty.
Or the controllers port on the Wii, is faulty.
Try using a different Controller on the Wii.
Or try inserting the gamecube controller, Into a different Port.

How do you use a Gamecube controller on the Wii ?

Assuming the Wii unit is situated vertically, look on the top of the unit. There should be two flaps. Lift them, and you will find plugs for four GameCube controllers and two GameCube memory cards. Plug in the controllers and go.

Bare in mind that only a very small number of Wii games actually use GameCube controllers. The controller slots are primarily for playing GameCube games on the Wii, which the Wii can do right out of the box, provided you have the controllers and memory cards.

What if im playing a Wii and my Gamecube disc doesn't work? I've bought a faulty disc before, but I doubt that this is the case. What should I do?

You have a dirty laser or bad laser or bad disc. Suggest seeing if it played on a gamecube or someone elses wii. Will your system play all your other games? If so its the game disc. If your wii has troubles with other games its your wii console.

Need instruction on how to get an iconcepts wil/gamecube controller to work on my wii.

  • 1 Gather up any GameCube controllers that you want to use with your Wii.
  • 2 Open up the top of your Wii. If you unhook the latch on the very top of the system there should be a sort of secret compartment that holds four controller ports and two memory card slots.
  • 3 Plug your GameCube controller into the ports located in the top of the Wii. If you're plugging in more than one, don't worry about attaching them in any particular order.
  • 4 Load any GameCube memory cards that you would like to use into the memory card slots located next to the controller ports on top of the Wii.
  • 5 Feed the GameCube game you would like to play into the disc slot on the Wii

Will the Nintendo Wii control work with the Game Cube games? I can't find a button to play the game. I am trying to play Ratatouille on the Game Cube with a Wii control.

Well that depends if your trying to play gamecube games on the gamecube or the wii?, i assume your doing it on the wii because anyone would know that a wii control wouldn't work on a gamecube, not impossible, just very hard

wii remotes do work with the nintendo wii on wii games and on gamecube games, but it is better if you use a gamecube controller and plug it into the to holes under the flap, pictured below, hopefully.

Are you talking about the controller or memory card?? If the controller try plugging it into the second gamecube controller slot even if you are wanting it for player one. This is the only way I have been able to get it to work.
