Hi Our Samsung twin tub (model SW T65B1p) has developed two problems 1/ Washing machine timer not working 2/ Adjitator does not alternate in direction ( gentle and normal wash) Both happened at the same time and a loud bang was heard before being noticed.

Sounds like the seal for the transmission is leaking oil through the seal. You will need to remove the tub or turn the machine upside down to remove the transmission and replace the seal. That is if the seal is still made.
I have had a manatee twin tub washing machine with spinner for two years. When I went to spin dry the first load this evening, it would turn on, but not spin. I read the above entry about another twin tub. I did the following... I unplugged the machine for 1 minute. Plugged it back in, then slowly and carefully turned the spin tub clockwise for 1/4 turn, then counter-clockwise for 1/4 turn. I cannot explain why it worked, but it did. So, try this trick before taking it apart. Good luck!
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
The indications are that the door lock is not working or physically broken/misaligned. Alternatively there is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor probably requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(
If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I doubt that any washer will continue unless the drain motor is able to drain water. Many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Spares Suppliers
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer spares' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can order. Alternately you could try telephone directories for spares suppliers but I would think the former would be more successful.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but this forum does not supply parts direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
