Question about Microwave Ovens
One of the under the bulbs burnt out, so I replaced the bulbs, something blew.. the microwave, turntable, clock, everything else works, but now the night light, or bulbs I replaced do not. It was a microwave manufactured in june of 2003. I would think, this microwave being newer.. I could fix this..
It is a kenmore microwave.. serial number 306KM01522, I checked on fuse..well the one I could find, it was fine. Seems that the wires that go from the lights, go into the circuit board for the microwave.
this is a kenmore microwave model 721.62644200, incase it disappears from the subject line
We see this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.
This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.
This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.
