How do i clean the rollers on my printer?

Paper Tray Rollers Step 1 Turn off and unplug your HP printer. Pull out your printer's paper tray and locate the printer rollers on the paper tray. Each roller is gray or black, and they are made of rubber. Remove the rollers from the tray.
On HP inkjet printers, the printer roller is not on the paper tray; it is on the area inside of the printer where the paper tray slides into the unit. Remove the paper tray and sit your HP inkjet printer upright, so the paper tray area is facing upward, and then look for the printer roller.
Step 2
Pour 1 tbsp. of isopropyl alcohol or clean water onto a lint-free cloth and scrub the paper or internal tray rollers with the cloth. Fold the cloth in half and repeat the cleaning process until the rollers are free of dust and debris.

Step 3
Wipe the rollers with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove any remaining dust or debris. Let the rollers dry completely before sliding the paper tray back into your printer.
Internal Pickup Roller - Laser Printers Only Step 1 Turn off and unplug your HP printer. Open your printer's front door and pull the printer's toner cartridge toward you to remove it from the printer.
Step 2
Locate your printer's internal pickup roller. The roller is gray or black, and it is made of rubber. Lift the roller upward, towards the front of your printer. Pull the roller gently out of the printer and lay it on a clean surface, such as a desk or workbench.
Step 3
Pour 1 tbsp. of isopropyl alcohol or clean water onto a lint-free cloth and scrub the pickup roller with the cloth. Fold the cloth in half and repeat the cleaning process until the roller is free of dust and debris.
Step 4
Wipe the roller with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove any remaining dust or debris. Let the roller dry completely before snapping the pickup roller back into place inside of your HP printer. Reinstall the toner cartridge and close your printer's door.

Once I turn my printer psc 2410 photosmart on it makes an annoying sound like if something is stucked and freezes staying on the clock sand mode . What should i do?

During printing, the HP product makes unusual or loud noises. You might describe the noise as grinding, squeaking, or screeching.
Step one: Clean the rollers in the back of the product
    1. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
    2. On the back of the product, find the rear door.
    3. Squeeze the tab or tabs on the rear door, and then pull the rear door toward you to remove it.
    4. Open the rear door on newer Photosmart, Officejet, or PSC productsInside the back of the product, rotate the paper rollers with your fingers to make sure that they can turn freely.
    5. Rotate the rollers located on the inside of the rear door to make sure that they can turn freely.
    6. Remove any torn pieces or scraps of paper that you can see.
    7. Dampen a clean, lint-free cloth or swab with distilled water, and then wipe the paper rollers inside the product and on the inside of the rear door clean. Rotate the paper rollers with your fingers to clean all the way around them.
    8. Reattach the rear door. Make sure that it snaps into place.
Step two: Clean the rollers in the front of the product
    1. Lift the cartridge access door to access the front paper rollers in the product.
NOTE: On some Officejet models, you might need to close the document catcher. Then, look in through the front of the product to access the front paper rollers.
    2. Inside the front of the product, rotate the paper rollers with your fingers to make sure that they can turn freely.
    3. Remove any torn pieces or scraps of paper that you can see.
    4. Dampen a clean, lint-free cloth or swab with distilled water, and then wipe the paper rollers clean. Rotate the paper rollers with your fingers to clean all the way around them.
Step three: Clean the small rollers Dampen a clean, lint-free cloth or swab with distilled water, and then wipe the small rollers, also called the pinch rollers, clean. The pinch rollers are the small metal rollers directly above the paper rollers. Rotate the pinch rollers with your fingers to clean all the way around them.
NOTE: Do not clean the carriage rod. Removing or damaging the lubrication on the carriage rod can cause the product to make more noise. Figure 9: Carriage rodc02203348.jpg Step four: Clean the cartridges
    1. Connect the power cord to the back of the product, and then press the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to turn on the product.

    3. When the carriage stops moving, disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
    4. Press down on each cartridge to release it from the carriage, and then pull it toward you out of its slot.
NOTE: You might need to lift a cartridge latch before you can remove the cartridge from the product. Press down on each cartridge to release it
    5. 1 - Tri-color cartridge 2 - Black cartridge
    6. Dampen a clean, lint-free cloth or swab with distilled water, and then wipe any ink or debris from the copper-colored electrical contacts on the cartridge.
CAUTION: Do not touch the ink nozzles or the electrical contacts with your fingers. This can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections. Figure 13: Clean the copper-colored electrical contactsc00617184.gif 1 - Electrical contacts 2 - Ink nozzles Figure 14: Do not touch the copper-colored electrical contacts or the ink nozzles Place the cartridges on a clean sheet of paper, with the nozzles facing up.
Step five: Clean the electrical contacts inside the product
    1. Dampen a clean, lint-free cloth or swab with distilled water, and then wipe any ink or debris from the electrical contacts inside the carriage
    2. Let the cartridges and carriage sit for 10 minutes to allow them to dry, or use a clean, dry swab to dry the contacts.
    3. Slide each cartridge into its slot at a slight upward angle, and then press firmly until you hear the cartridge click into place.
      • Install the tri-color cartridge in the slot on the left.
      • Install the black cartridge in the slot on the right.
      I hope this helps you!

Paper will not load

Take a damp cloth with a dab of dish detergent. Then lift the cover and clean all the rollers that you see. There is a rear door on this unit, take that off and clean the rollers from the back side.

In my 3530 single side copying is ok but when i am trying for back to back my A3 paper is getting jam with z fold pls guide

Hi,
are you talking about ir 3530 b&w copier?

"Z FOLD" of jamed paper is usual when paper goes from cass. towards registration roller, and registration clutch doesnt operates.

Do you have problems with A4 double sided too?

Where does the jam occures? In wich section?

I had few cases, when the paper stucked above fixing unit in small inner door, wich guides paperout or back in duplex, for second side copying.
The problem was in spring and solenoid wich lifts the paper guide plastic with finger.

It also could be case that you need to replace paper pickup, feed and separation roller in cassete where is A3 paper, and clean other rollers.

Try to put paper in "good" cassete, from wich you do not have problems.Just swap papers, and set correct paper sizes, and if it works then the problem is 70% in rollers.

On the place where the paper stucks, clean the paper rollers, by rotating it and cleaning with alcohol or water and dry it verry well.

Hope that helped.

Paper jammed under carriage....how do I get to the paper to help remove it, besides lifting top.....how do you get underneath?

From HP: Clear paper jam
  1. Turn off the all-in-One and turn it so the back of the unit faces you.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the All-in-One. The power cord must be disconnected to remove all power from the All-in-One. The paper feed rollers would not turn freely until all power is removed.
  3. Turn the dial on the rear access door to the unlocked position and remove it.
Inspect the rollers on the rear access door and make sure that they are clean and turn freely. If necessary, clean the rollers with a soft towel lightly moistened with water
  4. Gently pull the jammed paper from the back of the All-in-One.
  5. Reinstall the rear access door after removing the jammed paper. Turn the locking dial clockwise as far as possible to securely lock the door or paper skewing may occur.
  6. Remove all the paper from the paper supply tray and inspect it for damaged edges. Remove any paper that is not in a good condition. If the paper has already been printed on once, replace it with fresh paper. Even up the stack of paper and reinsert it.
  7. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the All-in-One
