Re: t-stat copatbility

On the back of most t-stats is a dip switch that is marked E or G that is changes the stat to work with either Electric heat or Gas heat just make sure you set it for the appropriate type of heat source your house has. Usually when we speak of Furnaces we are talking about gas, if that is so just change the switch to G. Good luck

HI - our Hunter Strafford fan works fine, however, my wall lights switch does not turn on or off the fan light. Any thoughts?

did it ever work with the wall switch, if the wires are all tight in the wall and light it should work fine but the switch does go out some times you may just need a new switch they coast 2-5 dollars not much if you have a meter you can put the two probs on the two screws and put your meter on conn, this will make a sound if it is working good luck.

Not working

"G" terminal is for the fan, typically using a green wire. "C" terminal is the common, basically a ground, typically using a blue wire. Also, leave in the jumper between "RH" and "RC".

The Honeywell LR69071 (old) has 7 wires connected labeled (X W2 R O Y G E) The Hunter 44860 (new) has wire connections for ( Y1 Y2 W2 G RH RC/R B W1 E O C L) What connects with what? There is also a jumper...

Wiring on the old one, "X", probably a brown wire will not be used on the new stat. If it's a blue wire, this may be your common. "E" and "W2" probably wired together with a white wire, this controls electric heat. "R" with a red wire, this is 24 volt power. "O" is an orange wire, this is the reversing valve. "Y" is a yellow wire, this is the contactor. "G" is a green wire, this is the blower. This pretty accurate? On the new stat, the jumper should be connecting "RH" to "RC/R", leave it in and wire the "R" from your old one to either terminal. White from the old one will go to the "E" of the new one. If your electric heat doesn't work after the install, you may need to jumper the "W1" and "W2" with the "E". "O" wires to "O". "Y" from the old one wires to the "Y1" of the new. "G" wires to "G". "C" on the new one is common. Usually a blue wire goes here. If "X" on the old one was blue, plug it into the "C". If it was brown, I'd suggest not using a common, and installing batteries. Hope this helps.

Replacing 2 honeywell thermostats with Hunter.

The hunter uses batteries and a ram chip to "remember" how you set it, the common is not needed with the Hunter. Some thermostats used the 24 volts of the thermostat circuit for powering up displays or for internal functions such as relays etc. Modern stats consume such a small amount of juice it is not typically required these days.

Need help with wiring on Hunter 44110

There is no real color code for wiring but the standard is red wire to r, yellow wire to y,white wire to w, green wire to g, blue wire to c. since there's no c on your t- stat its probably battery operated, but in your case im betting white wire to w, and blue wire to g.

Hunter 44630 thermostat

Here is a link that will have wiring diagram it is for a similar model hunter. Also check your dip switch on the back of the stat to ensure it is set for gas (HG) or electric heat (HE) depending on your type of unit. Good Luck. Rule of thumb for most four wire systems is RED (power to stat) Yellow (Cooling) Green (Fan) White (heat)
