I am using Windows XP SP2. Yesterday, I have used Norton Partition Magic to resize (H:) drive 20 GB to 10 GB. It has successfully resized (20 GB to 10 GB). Now I want to add this 10 GB free space in (C:) drive (which is NTFS). How can I add this? I use "Redistribute free space" option of Norton Partition Magic software's to do it. But during process its show a Error message (Error 2003: File size does not match FAT allocation for file). Can any one please describe how to fix this problem & add free 10 GB space in (C:) drive (NTFS). OR if anyone know the other method, please describe step by step.
Thanks
You didn't say whether the C drive and the H drive are separate hard drives or the H drive is a partition on the same hard drive as the C drive.
You can change the partitions sizes on a single drive but not across hard drives.
Also if you want to change the partition sizes on a single drive, I'm not sure if it will work with a mix if different file formats ie a mix of FAT32 and NTFS.
You can convert a FAT32 file format to NTFS without lost of data and if the C drive and H drive is on the same hard drive the you can re-size the C drive partition, but you cannot re-size the C drive partition with space from another hard drive.

Use a bootable CD and use partition magic 8.2 program for this purpose. You can change any desired format without data loss and also resize without any data loss. It will work 100% and guranateed beter work.
Good Luck

H is FAT32 & C is NTFS
Is the H drive a separate hard drive from the C drive?
