Laptop will not recognize psp

Hi lawolf77,

If your laptop wont recognize your PSP there might be a connection problem between the two. So you need to check what's causing the problem. There are several ways to check if PSP and your computer are properly connected, one good example is by checking the connectors and the device setting.

If you want to check some configuration on how to connect your PSP to your PC please try to follow these steps:

1. First, connect your PSP to your PC using a usb cable.
- please make sure both ends are properly intact.

2. Using the left and right directional button find "Setting", then scroll down or up to find the "USB CONNECTION".

3. USB CONNECTION will display after you pressed the x button.

4. Please wait until computer detects the USB connection. After that it will show the drive for your PSP. usually F: or G:

5. Click on your PSP drive letter.

6. Now you can determine if your PC recognizes the PSP, just access the root folder and try to put some files on it.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Cant off the psp go and still on screen is please wait..cant go to the menu

It seems like your Psp Go has gotten stuck on that screen. The only valid way to fix this is to either:
  • Wait for the Psp to Die. Just let is sit and it will run out of power eventually.
  • Pull the battery out of the Psp which will cut the power. Then place battery back in and turn on.
Thank you for using FixYa! =) If I helped, please give me a rating.

Psp region code

Unfortunatley you do need custom firmware to change the locked region code, official sony firmware does not support changing the region code.

DNS Error using my PSP Internet Connection!!!!

i can assist you with this.
1 Take out the UMD disc from the back of the PSP if one is inserted. 2 Take out your memory card from the memory card reader if one is inserted. 3 Turn on your PSP. 4 Go to the "Settings" tab in the Cross Media Bar and select "System Settings." 5 Select "Restore Default Settings" and confirm that you wish to restore all settings to the factory defaults. 6 Restart your PSP. 7 Try connecting to the Internet again. If you still get the 80410A0b error, try connecting to another network. If you successfully establish a connection to another network, your router is at fault. If you cannot connect to the second network, your PSP's Wi-Fi card could be damaged and may need repairs. Tips & Warnings
Ensure that you are entering the Wi-Fi SSID and password correctly on the PSP. You can contact PlayStation Support (see Resources) to start a repair order if you PSP's Wi-Fi card is faulty. if you require further assistance please let me know and i will be glad to assist you. Thanks
