Question about Sony DAVHDX265 System

Rattling at high sounds

Just got the Sony DAVHDX265 system a couple weeks ago. When the volumes or dialogue gets louder when watching a movie, the speakers tend to rattle. Any suggestions?

How can I fix the echo between my TV speakers and my dvd/blu ray player home theater speakers when watching a movie. Also, in the settings menu on the BDV E370 system do I have to select speakers only...

Easy, disable the TV speakers or turn its volume down.

Page 36 tells you how to sync the sound to the picture but you really shouldn't have the TV speakers competing (in stereo) with the Sony. (Page 56).

A) The TV speakers are probably inferior to teh Sony's
B) When you balanced the speakers during setup there was no 'with-the-TV-speakers-on' option. The image up front would suffer by adding an unaccounted for sound source.

Rattling at higher volumes

If you play original DVD/CD, you will not face this issue. Else set the central speaker volume to low when starting with movie.

Music track is heard, but dialogue is not

It sounds like your CENTER channel is not connected properly.

Check the connection to the speaker itself, and at the connection to the back of the Sony.

Getting sound when in telly mode

You have to use the switch on the pro - logic simulation. Your remote button might say sound or PII(with an icon). Usually if you continue to press the buttion you will cycle this different presets, ie. Music, Movie, Cinema, etc. These are optimized for the type of media your using, but try them all and see what works.

When watching tv

Is the sound different when you play movies or is it the same regardless? It may be a problem with your audio cables from your system to your TV. If you are not using HDMI, Optic, or Coax cables you will not be able to get the surround sound to function properly. It also may be a settings issue or poor connections on the wiring. Need more info.
