Check the thread about resoldering the power board...it may have to be done by someone who is qualified but I'm sure it will be a lot chaper...that's the route I'm gonna go!

364.00 for a new Power/deflection board through pioneer. i am including a link to their site. You may find it cheaper someplace else on line, but pioneer will have better quality parts. hope this helps. heres the link.

Pioneer elite turns on then shuts off right away

Shutdown can be caused by many different things in the set. Do you get an blink codes from the power LED on the front of the TV? You can order boards and get help from the technicians from part suppliers I often use.

My Pioneer Elite PRO-111FD just shut off on it's own, and now won't turn back on. No green or red indicator light... nothing. Any suggestions?

Check your power source (electrical outlet) and the power cable. If electrical outlet is ok, try using a different power cable (the cable that you plug on to the electrical outlet going to your TV set). If everything is ok but still no indicator light, call your technician there might be a problem with the TV power supply.

Pioneer Elite Pro-200

When it shuts itself down it is for the protection of the unit from further damage. It appears there may be something wrong with the power supply of unit. If you can get an inexpensive replacement board you just might want to go that route. On the other hand you have already gotten ten years out of it and you might want to move on.

Pioneer Pro-118 won't turn on

Take off back cover. The problem power board is to the right of the board where the power plug feeds into the TV. There is a large white fuse right bend the power plug. With a meter it read ok; about 8 inches deeper into the TV on that board was the resister next to two fuses. My 4 amp 125 volt fuse did not read on my meter. After replacing, it worked fine. Check all three fuses while you're in there.

Convergence Problem Pioneer Elite 60"

It sounds like the convergence IC's are bad unless someone has got inside the set and tampered with some adjustments or the set has had a recent rough move. Other possibilities would include defective capacitors/resistors or connections in the convergence circuits or power supply area.
