GE Profile Harmony 4.0 -Broken Clutch Coupling

My washer had a Notice: A problem has been detected with this unit. When I pushed and held "my cycles" and "back" buttons, a message came on that said I had a "broken clutch coupling" and had some other information: "Main: MV 2.032" "INVT: V01 11" Anyone know anything about replacing the clutch coupling? I have a warranty on it, but if it's easy to replace, no need to call a repairman, right?

Good tip! I actually bought it from a used appliance dealer that offered 1 year warranty. I've only had it a few months, I just hope I don't have to "haul it in there!"

    Thanks again!

I had the same problem, but after the washer ran through it's self-diagnostic mode it seems to be working fine. I'll re-post if I have additional problems.

I had this same EXACT problem as well with my GE Harmony. I purchased a warranty from Home Depot so I called them about it. I wasn't home at the time because I had to work so my wife handled it. According to her, the repairman came out and somehow reset the machine by unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. That was about an hour ago and the washer appears to be okay now. I will repost if the problem continues.

Have a message on GE Profile Harmony washer that say " a problem has been detected with the unit" help?

Washers - Harmony Washer Error Message or Code
The Harmony washer electronics can automatically determine if problems exist with the machine. Sometimes an error code can also be present because of things the machine cannot control: like changes in house voltage, water pressure, or temperature.

"A problem has been detected with this unit" will be displayed on the screen.

The most common solution for this message is to turn the machine OFF and then ON. However, this message will sometimes cause the control to stop the machine from working. With this type of error, the control panel will need to be reset. The following steps will allow you to reset your control.

Solution:

1. Clear the ERROR from the screen: Press and hold the MY CYCLES and BACK buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The control will display any recorded errors. Please write down what error codes are shown on your screen in case service is needed. If a MORE icon is displayed on the screen, press MORE to list additional errors. When the EXIT button appears, press EXIT.
2. Remove Power: Follow the onscreen instructions to remove power (unplug unit) and then immediately plug unit back in.
3. Clear Setup Mode: After power is restored, a setup screen that begins with "Congratulations..." will be shown. DO NOT PRESS the OK button shown at the bottom of the screen. Press the START/STOP and POWER buttons simultaneously until the Home Screen is displayed. Your unit is ready to function normally.

Broken clutch coupling. The main screen said "There has been a problem detected with this unit" I went into the help screen and it said I have a broken clutch coupling. What the heck is this thing? Where...

It's not really very hard to get at, it just sounds hard. You have to lay the washer on it's side and take the motor rotor off to get to it. It is made of white nylon plastic.
