Hp psc 1410v all in one printer
toshiba satellite notebook w/vista home premium
changed out ink cartridge(brand new), quality sheet prints out with instructions to place it on the glass and hit the "Scan" button
Scan button does nothing, power light flashes, each time I turn the printer on it prints this sheet again.
tried scanning it using HP Solution Center, scanned fine but still prints the sheet every time.

If you're using windows try using window's built in scanning camera wizard (this worked perfectly for my psc 1315). Go to Start -> settings -> control panel -> Scanners and Cameras

SOURCE: Ink Cartridge Alignment
On alignment sheet, do you see a line of yellow blocks?
And on next line do you see alternate block and yellow blocks?
(Without these, alignment fails)
If not, change the colour cartridge, re-print the page and repeat alignment.
Good luck...

Check the power and the data (USB) cables in the printer...check both ends...
Check :-
# The printer powers on properly
# There also can be problems with the printer driver
# and also internal printers....
Try reinstalling the printer driver...
