I am using a Viewsonic VX2235WM monitor for photo editing

Hi!

Its actually normal. That normally happens to some monitor models at the 6500K setting. Try a higher one.

I hope this helps.

The windows 7 is not recognizing the monitor VA721

May I ask what you mean by the windows does not recognized the monitor? You are not getting picture or you cannot set the correct native resolution (that is the best setting for best picture and aspect ratio)?
Native resolution for this monitor is 1280 x 1024 @60Hz.
And here is the common problem with VA721: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Viewsonic%20VA721/

Monitor shows on receiving signal, will not display image.

Hello,

The Viewsonic VX2235WM has a known issue with the power supply going out. The flashing power light or no picture is the classic symptoms of this issue. Check out our web site at: www.ccl-la.com. We have a step by step repair guide posted that will guide to doing the repair yourself. It involves changing a few capacitors on the power supply. If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. If you don't want to do the repair we do offer a repair service for $35 plus return shipping. If you have any additional questions just let us know at: tech@ccl-la.com

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

My viewsonic monitor is not working

Considering the price of monitors versus the cost of repair. It would cost less to replace the monitor.

Viewsonic VX724 LCD Monitor

I contacted ViewSonic and they agreed to fix the problem as a warranty repair. Evidentially they're experiencing the same issue on many of these monitors. I had to pay for shipping to their Walnut, CA facility, they'll fix it and pay return shipping. Since it is considered a warranty repair, I think they should've paid for a round trip ticket. I don't want to sound like a cheapskate but it is a warranty repair and the shipping charge was $98.00. Ouch! Cheaper than a new monitor I spose, so I'm thankful for that. So those of you with this problem might consider contacting ViewSonic to see if they will repair this on a recall "like" basis if your warranty is up. If it isn't up yet, by all means send it back to them and make them fix it!
