I bought 2 identical bulldog deluxe 200 lastb year. One is defective after working only for a month or so. First it locked the car, while running w/key in, required a locksmith visit, then a few weeks later stopped starting it. I sent the brain back to Bull, they replaced 1 2003 chip, which operates the locks. When I got it back, the other 2003 chip, which operates the horn wasn't working, so I replaced it myself. Then after a few test tries a catastrophic problem occured: the brain module started operating dome lights (flashing) + dr. door switch (when you open the door, the alarm sounds). I found 1 ohm res. under the horn 2003 chip burned, replaced it with 2w instead of .25w. The problem still exists; as soon as you connect the fuse, I can hear the trunk lock clicks, then after 5-10 sec it turns the alarm on. Pls. HELP ME with advice on how to repair the brain module. Would somebody have a principal circuit diagram for the module? I wonted to make a test bench and troubleshoot, but I don't have an antenna (it's 2000 miles away in my kids' car).
Any practical help is appreciated!
I have installed 4 deluxe 200s ( 2 on my vehicles and one on each of my parents) and I seem to have problems with the remotes dying but no other problems. I had to buy another unit just to get the remote so now I have an extra deluxe brain brain. If you are interested email me [email protected] If you decide to get a different unit I might be interested in buying your remote.
