Virus in Software?

My virus software is saying that there is a Trojan in the files that I downloaded off of the disk. I am not sure if I should override it, so I can use the Minicam or return the camera. What should I do?

Will my ihome webcam work if i hook it up to my xbox 360?

There are many things that might cause your PC to run slowly or restart at time and then. It could be a fragmented disk; fragmented registry; a virus, Trojan, or spy ware; high CPU and/or utilization due to too many programs running; high disk I/O; or something else.

To check your CPU and memory utilization, run Task Manager. You can start Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL and then clicking on the Task Manager Button. In Task manager, click on the Performance tab and check CPU Usage and PF Usage. PF Usage is an indicator of memory usage. If one or both of these is high, click on the Processes tab, and sort the columns by CPU or Memory to see what processes are consuming the resource. If you are not sure what the process "Image name" is for, Google the name and you should find what the process is for.

If your CPU and memory usage are reasonable, then you may have a different issue. Even if you running anti-virus software, it may be beneficial to scan your PC with another scanner to check for viruses. No anti-virus software is 100% perfect at catching everything. Here are a few good free online virus scanners that you can run to check your PC: 23&pkj=RRJEDTKJBTVISBYWWYP

An excellent free utility for overall system maintenance is Advanced System Care Free ( .html ). I use this utility on a regular basis.

You should always run anti-virus software. There are several very good, free, anti-virus products available. One good source to read editor and user reviews, and safely download anti-virus software, is -- search for free antivirus software. In addition to the reviews, you can see how many people are downloading the software, which is another good indicator of how popular it is.

I have used AVG Free ( ) , and Avast Free ( l ). Both are very good, and completely free. At present I am using Avast on all of my home computers.

I have heard good things about Avira AntiVir Free ( 39_4-10322935.html ), and it has good ratings, but I have not personally tried it.

In addition to Avast or one of the other free anti-virus software packages, I also run Ad-Aware ( tml ). Ad-Aware is a free anti-malware, anti-spyware package.

Good luck!

L have the cd but it will not download on my comptuer

If you have any other camera software, make sure you un-install it.

Place the disk in the Cd-rom. Open "my computer" and double click on the cd-rom drive that contains the disk. Double click on setup.exe.

This software takes approximately 15 minutes to install. Once installed, reboot the computer.

If you are still having problems; disable firewall and anti-virus before you install. After installation, enable the firewall and anti-virus and answer yes to any incoming/outgoing signals that your firewall tries to block.

Cant open any program due to virus

I am damn sure the virus has infected your boot files!!! So there is very less hope. Try running an updated Emergency Disk of a good anti virus and see whether it works. If not then you will have to reinstall your OS after formatiing the drive

I have a webcam clip with the extention of an .exe how can I tran

Don't open that file without first virus checking it.
An .exe file is not a webcam file. it is an executable program or file, probably a virus or trojan.
or it could be self extracting file. Either way it would be wise to do a search for the name of the file on google and try and identify it prior to executing it.

Failed to install

  1. you need to visit to get the latest virus scanning software. The reason I say this is because you may have a virus infecting your computer and it may be tell you wrong information.
  2. Next you need to try to get another copy of the installation disk. that came with the webcam. You can download the disk from the internet or you can take the product back to the store you origanally got it from and trade it for a new one.
  3. Finally try to reinstall the software. If it still isn't working notify me by replying to this message.

Yeah, my anti-virus programs caught the file, "fixcamera.exe" as a trojan. I have notified, not that they will care or do anything about it.

Friend one of the possible problem of your computer is your operating system, it is possible that your computer might have have been infected with virus that is why there is always an error whenever you install your driver. One possible solution is for you to have an updated anti-virus program, you can have it through the internet. Then, you must run the updated anti-virus program on your computer and clean your computer, after doing so try to reinstall your driver.
Friend if the above instructions didn't work, the best solution is to reformat your operating system. Download or buy an updated anti-virus program then reinstall the said driver. In reformatting your operating system you will need the help of a technician.
Thanks! i hope i have helped solving your problem.
