PSP slim UND door hing problem

Dropped PSP slim and knocked pin hinge loose of UND door. Removed 2 screws from adjacent cover to see if I could remove and reset pin but couldn't loosen cover. Is there an easy way to reset hinge? Hinge and door don't appear broken just dislocated. Help

Select button wont work

the control chip under the button isnt making contact with the plastic button,, easy fix, take the cover off the psp clean the buttons with a pencil eraser and put the cover back on (without screwing it down) check for contact,,,,if it works then screw it back together if it doesnt then pop the cover off and put a small piece of tape on the select button its self to make up for the slack). Hope this helps you worked for me!

My "select" Button will not work

The entire row of buttons on the bottom are on the same strip under the cover. This strip plugs into the power board and it can be checked out with a continuity tester, just look for the 2 pins that show cont when the pad is pushed on the strip. You can get new strips on the internet for a few bucks. Easy to replace if you can get the cover off, just 6 screws but youll void any warranty you may have on it as 2 of the screws are under a tamper proof sticker in the battery compartment.

Psp Problem

You will need:

1 Fairly Small Screw Driver
Something Soft to protect your screen (Optional)
Something sticky to hold your small screws (Optional, but recommended)
Ability to remember where you removed screws from =D

1. Flip your PSP on the front side (screen side).
2. Unscrew the two screws on the outside opposite of the battery.
3. Open the battery panel, and unscrew the screws under the battery.
4. CAREFULLY, take off the faceplate and make sure your L/R buttons are properly secured and clear from dust/dirt.
5. Check the 'Home', 'Start', etc., buttons for anything that may "jam" them.
6. Reassemble your PSP by screwing the screws back into their proper areas.

AGAIN, this will VOID any warranty you have and I AM NOT responsible for any damages to your PSP!!!

Psp repair

It sounds like there is a loose hinge on the door. Check the back of the PSP to make sure it is properly closed.

Playstation 2 doesnt work

You are posted in the Big PS2 section, so I hope you got a Big PS2, not a slim. If you do have a slim, I think your motherboard is shot. If you do have the big PS2, you need to open th case up and Disassemble it to find out whats wrong.  Your probably have a SCPH-50001 and when you dropped it some of the plastic inside broke.

You need to remove the 8 screws on the bottom, which are hidden by square screw covers. You can pop the screw covers up with a knife blade.  Remove the Warranty label on the cases seam next to where the power cable hooks in. Lift the case from the back slightly and pull it forward just enough to clear the CD drawer. Then roll the over cover counter clockwise being carfeul not pull reset/eject button cable loose. In this motion lay the case cover to the right side upside down.

Now remove the little screws holding the cd Drive cover on.  Yo may ned to use a screwdriver to put in the rectangle holes and pry outward to release the catch at the back of the CD drive cover.  See if you see any damage and write back a comment here . Hope this helps.

I can fix it for a reasonable price for you if you're in the USA.
