We switched from Wii Sports to Guitar Hero last night. Everything was ok. Then this morning when we went to play the guitar game it would go to start, turn black and white with a grid of Wii symbols, play the opening tone and stop. We then sturned everyting else and tried again with the sports and guitar. It was the same result.

When I plug my Wii in the whoe menu screen and any games i play are in black and white - i dont know whats wrong as all connections between tv and wii are correct - ive tried changing channels and unplugging and replugging in but it stays colourless... any solutions?

My Wii just started showing the black and white for no apparent reason.  I have unplugged all the connections and replugged them in - but no change.  I have also tried to move the connection from AV2 to AV3 but this didn't solve it either.  Am writing this as I have now headed to the internet for help to solve the problem.

About a week after buying guitar hero for the Wii, my TV would turn black and white. When you switch to regular TV it also is in black and white. If you turn the TV off for a while the TV is back in color but the Wii is still black and white.

I got the same kind of problem here but i only have it with certain games ... When i play wii sports or zelda its in collor but with Destroy all humans big willy unleashed its black and white... HELP :S

Are you using component (RGB) cables to connect your Wii to your television? If you are, check all the connections to make sure they are plugged in good. If you are not using the component cables, make sure that you either haven't accidentally plugged the Wii into the component inputs on your television, or that you have your television set for component.

    Good Luck.

Wii only in black&white

This is a common problem and it is not specific to Wii Fit Plus, it is a TV setup issue.
Access your TV's menu screen and be sure that your TV screen is expecting input from "AV" or "Video". If you have "S-Video" selected, this is the cause of why your Wii is playing black and white.

Just brought a flat screen tv and put the wii on its gone on to black and white whats the problem?

Try the different inputs on your TV to see if its black and white on all of them. If thats the case then try another TV, if its still black and white then its a problem with the Wii. If it works well on another TV then you know the original TV is the problem.

Black screen WII

Either the wires arent plugged in or your tv has a technical problem with "Tv Input." If your tv had wiring problems with the red/yellow/white cords, wiggle the cords until something is shown on screen and try to keep it shown on screen with something. Hope that helps.

Wii plays in black and white.

Check if the tv has different types of AV settings, as this affects whether the wii plays in black and white or colour.

Plug in the wii system and everything comes in black and white

Try plugging it into another scart socket, this sometimes happens when a tv does not support 60hz. the result is a screen that has no colour. You could try just plugging it onto the seperate av inputs. Most tv's these days have one scart that will work ok and in colour.

TV Screen is Black and White when using Wii

Nintendo say that black & White screen is often because you need to replace the standard 3 pin lead with a 5 pin component lead for HDTVs. Have you tried this?

Screen losing color.. turning black and white

Your TV goes black & white, because your Wii could be NTSC or PAL which. If your Wii is PAL and your TV is NTSC then the TV will show a blac and white color. Since NTSC is for North America and PAL for Asia
