If you have access to the primarycomputer you use with your iPod, and your media saved on your hard drive.Follow PC/Mac instructions (Not technical)below to sync your iPod, and then restore its firmware which will removethe lock code.

If you use an Apple Laptop and are comfortable using Terminal you can skipbelow to Mac (Technical) instructions. Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. I cant get the lock of my i pod

Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it should no longer be locked. This will only work with the computer that you first used when you first connected your iPod and ran iTunes.

If this doesn't work, you can restore your iPod to factory settings, which has no lock code. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to iPod.

If you want to to do this, connect your iPod to your computer and run iTunes. Click on your iPod on the left side of iTunes, then click on the "Restore" button on the right. After it's been restored, click on the "Sync" button to copy all your music and videos back onto your iPod.

I locked my i pod nano and i forgot my passcode so now i can't us it i just got it, what do i do?

Screen Lock only locks users out of the user interface. It does not encrypt data on your iPod. For example, if you use Screen Lock and then connect your iPod to a computer, you'll still be able to manage music on your iPod with iTunes and access all data on it in disk mode (contacts, notes, and any other files you have stored on the iPod).

To unlock it, connect iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.

If you can't unlock iPod using this method, you can restore your iPod to factory settings. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to iPod.

To restore your I-pod, do this:
1) Ensure that you have an active Internet connection as new versions of iTunes and iPod Software may need to be downloaded to your computer.
2) Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod. After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
3) Select your iPod in the Source panel and you will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes windows.
4) Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt iTunes to automatically download the latest iPod Software. Use restore option 4.

Ipod nano problem

hello blair,I Have my own I-pod so I hope this will re asure you. First I think you should restore your I tunes as long as your brother has your songs too. Then ask him to create a CD of all your songs, which is not hard at all. then take the CD and open I-Tunes. Place the CD into your hard drive and I-Tunes should pick up the CD. Then download the content of the CD onto I-Tunes. You Will Now have all your songs on I-Tunes like before. Now plug in your I-Pod and continue like It's the first time you have pluged in your i-pod! hope this helps! Rosebetts xxx
