Touch pad i have an acer aspire 5630 laptop that is 4 months old the touch pad has stopped working. i have checked in the settings and is activated

    my acer 5630 touch pad has almost stoped working, the cursor works but when you tap it to highlight or click on something it won't do anything, any suggestions please!

Or u can reinstall the synaptics pointing device drivers :D...i did and is working perfect

Check the state of the batterie , take it of and put it back on sometimes this will solve your problem ( bad batterie state )

is not a problem, try to activate you pad with FN key + F7 (this is secvence for enable/disable pad).

go to control panel, mouse &pointing devices check advavced settings if all are ok go to system, hardware, device manager,mice & other pointing devices check that there no conflicts click on troubleshoot if you still have a problem buy a corded or cordless mouse that will connect to usb

FROZEN CURSOR
Sounds like the touch pad is not working anymore. try using a USB mouse and see if that works. also, see if you can reinstall the touch pad software to fix that.
