Question about Western Digital (WD1000VE) 100 GB Hard Drive

Hard drive I have a problem with my hard drive, when it boots it makes this clicking sound, is there a way i can fix this or recover my data??

There are small fingers that glide across the disk inside, sounds like one is broken. I would replace the drive, sorry about the data
lost.

SmartDisk FireLite 40 GB Hard Drive makes a clicking sound..


You will need to recover the data using something like this data recovery program.

I've had to use it many times in the past but in this case you need to take out the hard drive from mac and put it into a Windows computer as an external drive or slave drive and run the software from there. It will rebuild the drive and hopefully recover the files.
