The bulbe is an LED u might find a control board on shopjimmy.com or go to a local tv shop most will have one pulled from junk
You can replace the bulb itself. They are tricky to do. I recommend to have a local tv repair shop to do it. If you tighten too much you can damage the replacement bulb. Buy the way a new bulb will run you about $125 or so. It is not a bad fix, compare to buy a new tv set.
I had to replace mine about a year and what we decided to do is to use a small 20" television to watch our reunions or if there is nothing on to save our lamp. Lamp are usually good for about 3 years or 80,000 hours.
