Your not getting any video at boot up? I would be looking at your video card first. Remove & reinstall. Than try again to enter bios. Still no? Reset the bios on the motherboard. You'll have to remove the battery & check it for 3volt. Replace, got video enough to enter bios? Disconnect all non needed items. Like diconnect CD/DVD rom drives power cable & data cable. Got two Hard drives. Connect only one. Two banks of dimms. Use only one. 1PS2 mouse & keyboard. Try boot up again. Listen for post beep. (1 beep). Any other beeps, count how many and if long or short. Let me know. Lastly did you apply thermal grease between the cpu & heatsink?. The idea here is to get down to basic needs only. If it were your cpu it wouldn't even power up. Than again every board is a bit differant. Give this all a try & poat back. Good luck!

I need to know what kind to buy for this board. the processor heatsink ASRock ge pro-ht

Socket 478 is a very old socket type, it's been around for nearly a decade. The only processors that work with this socket are Intel's Northwood Pentium 4 and Celeron processors, which are now far surpassed in performance. I would definitely recommend buying a new motherboard for whatever you were going to use this one for. If you are set on this motherboard, however, read on.

Many computer hardware companies have stopped carrying Socket 478 processors. You will most likely have to buy one second-hand. A quick search on Amazon will give you a few buying options (all used) for around $20-$30 US.

Due to the age of the processors, you will probably need to purchase a heat sink seperately. This heatsink is $20, will fit Socket 478, and has very good reviews, but of course feel free to use any heatsink as long as it fits Socket 478:

If you also need memory, be sure it is DDR 333/266, as this is the ONLY type of memory that the 2 memory slots on motherboard will take (maximum 2GB of memory). You can find list of DDR 333 memory in varying capacities here:

Right i need the size or model for the cooling fan that all intelboard mode E210882

The Heatsink/Fan combo is based on the processor socket used.

After a few search hits, I have seen E210882 on Intel based motherboards, that use two different processor sockets.
The Socket 478, and the LGA 775 processor socket.

The socket for the Socket 478 has the pin holes. The Processor has the pins. (478 of them)

The socket for the LGA 775 processor socket has the pins. The Processor has the pin holes. (775 of them)

Identify which processor socket you have, buy accordingly as to the Heatsink/Fan combo.

One example of a Heatsink/Fan combo for an Socket 478 processor socket,
(Only Intel uses the Socket 478 for their Processors),

One example of a Heatsink/Fan combo for an LGA 775 processor socket,
(Only Intel uses the LGA 775 socket for their Processors),

Remember to observe Anti-Static Precautions, Thoroughly clean the top of the Processor's case, and aplly fresh new thermal paste.
(A Processor is the most susceptible hardware component to Static shock)

[ Example of thermal paste, ]

If you would like advice on how to properly clean the processor's case, properly apply thermal paste, and/or what Anti-Static Precautions are, post in a Comment.

Can i put a amd processors in a dell dimension

Short answer: NO.

Long answer: AMD processors have a different pin-arrangement than found on a Socket 478 motherboard, so they physically will not fit.

No monitor output, no booting screen appears, no sound in the motherboard

Try your processor to the other computer that is working with the same CPU socket to prove that is working. If the processor work to the other computer it slightly proved that the mboard is dead, but sometimes processor hang-up on the mboard try to install back processor to suspected MB, there is a 20% guarantee solving the problems.Otherwise if the processor not working on the other computer something wrong with your processors. may this help.

CPu fan turns for 1 second and then stops.

If all was working fine before, then, you have either not connected the cpu power cable, as is sometimes required other than being powered by the processor socket, or your power supply unit is not pentium 4 compatable and is unable to power the processor.
