Power wont turn on..battery led flash orange

Remove battery. Maybe faulty? Try another cord/charger with the EXACT same specs. Reseat the Memory Mods. has the AC jack been damaged by pulling on the cord? Try plug in and at the laptop's AC jack "wiggle" the AC jack plug. Any change?

Restore FN + F8 key to reactivate Wi-Fi on Toshiba Satellite L500

My laptop didnt enable the wifi with the fn+f8 key.
I even reset the cmos and nothing.
Then I went to toshiba drivers website and after installing the "thku" "toshiba hotkey utility" the fn+f8 start working and enable/disable the wifi. It now shows a popup windows when I press the fn+f8 key.

Before the wifi led was always off. Windows detected the wifi device but nothing on the wifi available list.
Now the led is always on, starts orange when I turn on the pc and blue when connected.

Hi guys my Toshiba m35x s149 fell 2 feet to a wooden floor.The battery meter shows power of 63% but upon removing the power cord it switches it off.Tried another battery same response.when all is off( no...

I would think that the internal battery connections have been damaged from the fall. They may only need re-soldering. Any drop on to a hard surface from almost any height can damage your laptop.

My satellite A135-S4527 laptop doesn't recognize the dvd drive

You could try physically removing it and reseating it, if it still doesn't come up then its probably dead.

Sp3 toshiba satellite l20 182

I would start by popping in the XP disk and getting in to recovery console (R at the first screen). Once there, run these commands:

fixboot c:

This will rewrite the boot sector and master boot record on your drive. The "operating system not found" typically only happens when the boot sector is messed up. If that works and Windows loads, click Start -> Run and type

Click System on the left pane and, on the right side, click Source. Go to the "D" section and see if you have disk errors. It's a good bet that if your boot sector gets compromised, you're hard drive is about to crash and disk errors are being logged.

Appreciate the "Ask Me".

On your post, pls try:
  • click on Start, Control Panel, Network Connections;
  • right click on Local Area Connection;
  • click on Properties;
  • click on Configure Button;
  • click on Advanced tab;
  • highlight Connection Type, in the Value box, select Auto-Negotiation;
  • you may be asked to reboot.
You could also try the 100 Base Tx Full Duplex or the 100 Base Tx Half Duplex.

It would seem that the orange led indicates a 100mbps connection while the green is for 10mbps.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Toshiba satellite A60 no boot

We can only assume that because the cd drive operates then the motherboard is operating in part, although, the southbridge chip may be damaged, as the northbridge works memory etc. Maybe it is that the processor is fried as there is no fan and the system then shuts down. Toshiba are probably half way there with the answer, unless; they investigated further and decided it was not the processor but the motherboard.
