Re: I can't program the remote for my vcr

When the oneforall manual has no codes your tv is not (yet), or will not be, supported.

p.s. I guess you have a oneforall URC 4021 as there is no 4022 to be found on the oneforall support page

Need the code to program my universal remote to my jvc tv the serial# to my remote is rc24922-c1122 model jc024

Do a code search method as follows.
  1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  3. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
  4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  5. Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.
Most users will want to store VCR codes under the VCR button, Cable codes under CBL, etc. If you want to store a VCR code under CBL, etc., first follow the procedure for Direct Code Entry and press CBL in step 2 of Direct Code Entry, then enter ANY VCR code in step 3 of Direct Code Entry. Then follow the steps above for Code Search.

How can I program the oneforall remote urc-4041b01 to control my dvd/vcr?

The remote control should have come with a list of the input codes to the various models. If you don't have this the best way is to enter the video model number and the words remote code into Google.

In practice however these universal remote generally don't operate all the functions, just the important ones. Only the true remote will control all functions.

Manual on URC-3940

Note: most remotes allow you to find the code by manually turning the TV (or other device) on first, then press the appropriate button (cable, DVD, surround, etc) then setting the the remote in the "program" mode, then keep pushing the "off/power" button until the TV (or other device) turns off, at that point the code is set.

My Sony VCR Model SLV-662HF will not accept cassettes. I am using a universal remote control. The VCR's display shows APC 71501 and 81508. Do these APC codes refer to the VCR or the All In One universal...

The codes are to program the universal remote control to communicate with the Sony VCR. Try programming the universal remote using one of these: 60000 60032 60033 60035
The acceptance of the cassettes may not be related to the use of a universal remote control. If the URC doesn't have the "equivalent" functionality of the VCR's original remote control, you may not be able to use the URC to perform the functions of the original remote control.

Need a code so we can program a panasonic vcr to accept a universal remote

The universal remote usually comes with a list of manufacturers, models and the codes for each one. In the instructions for the remote there are also steps to have the remote "learn" to the device.

Universal remote codes do not work for vcr device. Tried all codes located in universal remote code index for emerson vcr, none are working correctly.

you do not mention what brand of universal remote you are using but if you have the programming instructions for the remote, look up and folow the instruction for the code search procedure, this procedure when performed correctly will put out all the codes programmed in the remote, if this does not do it for you, then you will need another brand of universal remote.

I need the codes for the remote to program it to my vcr

There are two devices that need to be identified; the remote brand and model and the VCR brand and model. Giving us only one is useless. Secondly, there may not be any code set in the remote compatible with your VCR. Universal remotes aren't universal.

Lost codes for v.old universal remote

All universal remotes work about the same. Try this.
Here you go. This will work with most all universal remote controls. If you don't have the code do the following:
Automatic Programming
With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. It should take a couple of seconds for the light to remain solid. The remote control is in programming mode.

3. Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

4. Press CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down repeatedly until the device turns on.

5. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

• To exit without storing the code, press BACK.
• T he unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press
CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down after the device turns on. (go slow you need to press OK when the TV turns on) if you mess up turn TV off and start over.
6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

How to Program Local made Universl remote for aiwa VCR

I am in Pondicherry, India.
Can you tell me the model No of your VCR. If the problem is only No colour, then it is likely that you have set the Output to a different
Broadcast Standard. India has PAL B/G, and it could be that you have accidently set the Selection to MESECAM or SECAM?
Do let me know if this works out? As for programming a Universal remote, You must read the instruction 'booklet' which comes along with it. There you have to see the List of VCRs, select AIWA, and feed the various codes one by one, and try and see if the code works on the VCR. No shortcut!
