Could be the milivolt generator was adjusted too far in the flame causing the tip to burn out. all it has to do is detect the flame not be in the flame path!.

wile red button is pushed no flame or turns off when the button is released the flame dies ? if no flame tank is too small or spark isn't in far enough to catch gas . if flame is present with button down then the over heat switch on the in line thermal coupler could b bad u can check the over heat switch with a jumper between the two wires and if it stays lit you got it if it goes out then its the thermal coupler that's bad

Replaced thermal fuse 2 weeks ago, went out again, what could cause this?

Look at a couple of things. First and easiest is the air flow through the system. If you do not have any air flow from the dryer vent outlet that is your problem. If you have flow but it is restricted the thermal unit will heat up and "blow out" also. The other item is the thermostat or temperature setting controller. If It is not releasing when it reaches its set temperature the dryer gets too hot and the thermal fuse will blow.

Will only throw flames if holdin button in

the thermal coupler could be bad. try and hold the gas button down for about 15 to 20 seconds and see if the flame will stay on after that amount of time when button is released. if it still goes out - then replace the coupling with a new one and all should be good after that.

are you holding button down long enough for thermal coupler to warm up? after pilot lights up, don't immediately let go of button for about 15 to 20 seconds then let go and pilot should stay on. If not, you may need a new thermal coupler for that water heater

How do i install a thermal coupler for forced air heater gas

Thermo coupler is held in place with a clamp bracket at the pilot end and a small brass line nut on the other end going into the gas valve. The pilot flame must surround the sensing bu or wrap itself around it Press the pilot button for a few seconds and fire up the pilot flame. Wait a few more minutes and turn the gas vale on for the main burners. If it fires, your set.Good Luck,Ned

Won't stay lit..

I contacted ReddyParts.com and talked with their support department (866-883-9312). They instantly stated "your thermal coupler is bad". They had 1 in stock for 19.99 + shipping. I ordered it and plan to have it installed and tested by next weekend. The model I have is Reddy Heater Propane 35k to 55k (RLP55V).

Wall furnace model # SFB50146B Thermal Coupler. Does it have 2 wires?

if the pilot light stays lit, but the burners don't kick on, it's a problem with the thermostat or thermostat wiring, or a problem with the valve inside the gas actuator
