Question about Hitachi (DT00431) Projector Lamp for CP-S370W, CP-X380

2 Answers

No input on RGB1, etc.

Suddenly, my Hitachi CP-X380 can't find my pc on either RGB1 or 2. I have changed cords, rebooted, etc. and still no image. When rebooting the laptop the Windows logo will display but when it finally gets into Windows, it says "input not found". Any suggestions? Thank you.

I see this all the time.
Since you have a display BEFORE Windows boots, but not after, it sounds like you don't have a problem with the projector, but instead with the video output of your laptop. This is controlled by Windows once it boots. This 'sudden' problem usually happens after you have installed new software, or updated existing software. The new code alters the default setting for the video output.
To regain signal output to an external monitor or projector, you need to adjust your video signal settings. On most laptops this is done by holding down the FN key (lower left corner) and pushing either F4 or F5 (look for a pictogram of a monitor or 'lcd/vga') and releasing both keys at once. You may need to do it more then once to find the right combo of outputs. Unfortunately, you will probably have to do this every time you boot the computer.

First find someone you know who has a working unit, just to make sure you don't have a problem with your PC output or the cable so you KNOW you have signal at the input.
If no signal then, make sure your input is "configured" correctly in the user menu.
I would have to think your VGA input board on the projector is faulty but let me know what you find.

Hitachi cp-x300 will not go into advanced mode

I don't know that model but normally mirrored (ceiling) settings are in the basic menu. Some of the hitachi models won't go to Advanced mode or some of the image settings unless there is a signal that they are adjusting as you end up with settings for the RGB input and separate settings for composite (video via phono)

I am trying to run a presentation from 2 computers into the projector. one pc as the display and one as the presenter, is this possible

If the projector has two RGB inputs (they will be blue & look like female serial ports and be marked input1 & input2 or possibly RGB1 & RGB2) then both PC's can be connected, but only one image from one of the PC's can be displayed at a time. To change between them use the "input" button on the projector or remote control to switch between RGB1 & RGB2. If your projector has only one RGB connector at the back it is still possible to use the video input for the second PC but you will need a special adaptor for the RGB cable from one of your PC's.

Iamge from the previous projection from RGB still appears when i switch to Video mode. why is it?

Hi There

Looks like your Projector's Mainboard has locked the memory and is stuck.

If you can access the Projector's Menu - Reset the machine and switch it off.

If the problem still occurs , you will have to take your Projector to a Service Centre to have to Mainboard repaired.

This is 100% NOT a lamp issue.
