Question about Acer Aspire L100 PC Desktop
We have 9 of the machines at work and we had the same problem withabout seven of them. To get it to work again just reseat the processor and memory. The case is very simple to take apart. Once you get the cover off just remove the front panel (3 clips) and then there is a screw near the end of the DVD drive. Unscrew the screw and the gently pull the drives out. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem with this system. The problem is heat. If you notice when the system goes to vista log in the fans are running at high speed then the system shuts down. To fix this problem you must not click on anything until the fans slow down. you need to click on control panel then click on system and maintenace then click on power options. you will see High performance click on change plan settings. Now click on Change Advance Power Settings. Now Scroll down to Processor Power Management Now click on the + an you will see min and max processor state change the value to 45% for both for now. This will slow the Processor from running to hot for now so you can run your system. Vista has an update that corrects this problem when you fully update your system you will see a little sluggish perfomance just go back and change the min and max processor state to 85 or 90% and your good to go. When you are clicking on these folders listen to your fans you have to be careful to do this slowly or your system will shut down.

Sounds likehardware faiure...
I can tell you how we can try fixing it but it would void any warrenty you have..The choice isyurs if you want to try the under method or returnit to the company..
1.) Unplug the system
2.) remvoe the case(open it up)
3.) there is a battery on the main bpoard abt the size of a nickle, remove it
4.) hit the power button 7 times
5.) replace the batter and try booting it
6.) you might need to do a full format and then install vista..
If that fails its like;ly that your mainboard or memory is damaged or defective..
