Question about Vacuums

Vacuum belt replacement

I used to have a Hoover TurboPower 4000 manual in a pdf. When I changed computers I must have lost/deleted it in the process. I went to the Hoover site but was not successful locating the manual... can you locate one for me or point me in the right direction. How about giving me instructions on how to get to the belt. I took off the cover on the bottom but while I could get the brush out and put the new belt on it; I could not get to the "spindle/motor shaft" at the other end. Is there a way to take off the top cover of the machine that will allow me to slip the other end of the belt?!
Thank you for any help you can give me!

Hoover has a very POOR website in regards to maintenance information. They would rather you buy a new vacuum. Hoover has embraced a "down market" ideal, and I would suggest you not buy another. Vacuums should not be a disposable product.

I tried, went to and put in your model number, it is either not available or 4000 is not the correct model number. It is usually located on the metal tag on the back or on the bottom.

Hoover belt replacement

Turn vac. over, remove the buttom plate over the brush roll, then at the bottom edge of the top cover, using a flat blade screwdriver, insert into the slots and pry up to unlock the tabs, then the top cover will come off. Put the belt on the brush roll and feed the belt thru the opening and put stretch it over the motor shaft. Put the top cover back on and push to lock the tabs.
