Question about BenQ FP731 17" LCD Monitor
When hooked up to a Denon 1940 DVD player via HDMI my BenQ FP241W does not receive any signal, the screen stays blue. Have tested with another HDMI cable and have the same result. Have tested the Denon with another screen via HDMI and it worked. Denon will work with BenQ through standard video connections. BenQ did receive a signal through HDMI from a Panasonic DVD player although it wasn't possible to configure the settings properly. Any ideas?
Sounds like the HDMI port on the monitor has been shorted out.
There are very small fuses on the video board that can be changed, but they are fiddly and you may end up doing more harm then good if you are not sure what your doing.
The fuses are actually soldered to the board...it's not a case of pop one out and pop one in like the glass type.
Hope it helps =)
