Question about Hampton Bay 54 In. 5-Blade Fan, Chestnut, Autumn Mist
I am trying to install a light to my ceiling fan, but the wires for the light are not "hot". We are thinking that when we installed the fan, we did something wrong with the connections. However, we can not figure out how to remove it from the ceiling. Ther are no screws to remove. Any ideas?????
Im trying to install light to ceiling fan but the wires are a different color and light wont come on

On some fans the part that goes against the cieling to cover the box can be turned and then will drop down on the stem to give you access to the wiring and mounting. There is usually a seperate wire for a light kit that has a wire nut on it and is not connected from the factory.
