Your motor sensor has failed.  Try unplugging the unit and wait 5 minutes before plugging it back on.  If that fails, you will need a qualified LG technician to help you.

Machine clogged and rust and stink

to help clean the unit, do a large load of whites, extra bleach, extra-super-heavy-duty wash, hot wash and hot rinse. many small loads sometimes cause the unit to "smell up"

LG washing machine Model # wm2077cw

LE is a locked motor error. If this happens often then 95% of the time this is just a bad hall sensor (motor position sensor). A technician should be able to ohm out the hall sensor to make sure. The part is relatively inexpensive and easy to replace.

This can also happen if the motor is overheating slightly from being overfilled (too many clothes) or if you do one load after the other and do not allow at least 10-15 minutes between loads for the motor to cool down. In this case the LE error will only happen occasionally.

Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

Error code LE

Suggestion: Your wash could be overloaded; put in clothes within machine's capacity. What is written in your manual's max clothes capacity. If your heater is on; switch off machine and wall plug. Reset the machine with the heater on minimum & resume your normal cycle.
