the mouse is proven to be not defective after i tried on another computer last night.

I appreciate your solution, but i was desperate last night and went to system restore and everything went back to normal.

But i hadn't reinstall the driver, because i'm not sure whether should i :

    - just install the driver from the disc given in the package ?

    - ignore the disc, just install the downloaded driver ?

-install the disc then the downloaded updated version of the driver.

real question is, the drivers+firmware from are drivers from scratch or updates?

because i get this README.txt in there which says :

[Please ensure that your driver is 6.09 before updating the firmware, otherwise you might kill your mouse. Remember to uninstall your current driver before installing any new drivers.]

By the way the disc's firmware is confirmed to be 6.09.

    What should i do?

If i uninstall the current driver(the disc), isn't the firmware along with it?

    What the hell?

Go to device manager and uninstall everything under the USB heading and restart your computer. This should reinstall all the drivers and hopefully reinstall your mouse. You may need to rerun the driver you downloaded for the mouse afterwards.

My next suggestion your be to try the mouse on another computer to make sure it is not defective.

There shouldn't be a problem with installing from the disc first then the downloaded version to ensure you have the newest one. The firmware is actually in the mouse and if you uninstall the driver from the computer the firmware will stay in the mouse.

Cannot detected controller to install firmware

The error you describe is a bios error. No drivers in the os will help.
Maybe you can find a bios update that will support that controller, or maybe not. You may need a different raid controller that is properly supported by your bios.

I am having Sony Vaio-VGN FZ15g laptop.I upgraded to Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit but now camera is not being detected and working?

I have tried to install windows 7 onto a viao laptop and had similar problems with items not working and it seems that on some things, there is no fix, the only thing I can suggest would be to go to Sony's website, and try downloading the latest drivers from there, if there are no windows 7 drivers available then try the older ones in compatibility mode.

Hi when i plug in my sony walkman series nwzb-135 the port is not recognised by my pc

1.If it is detected as Walkman but not showing as a removable drive then a.Goto device manager and right click on Sony Walkman and select update driver
b.Choose the advanced option and then select i will choose the driver to install.
c.In the window that appears, select mass storage device rather than MTP device.

2.If it is not detected at all,you need to download the firmware from here: After downloading, run it and then connect the player to system while holding the "volume -" should be detected and the firmware would be restored.

STMP3500 driver for PhilipsGogear 1 gb

The driver is installed when you install the Firmware Manager software on the product CD.

The player will show as STMP3500 when it is in recovery mode (usually caused by corrupt firmware)

Install the Frimware manager.

Connect the player.

If asked for a driver let Windows search automatically.

If you get a Signed Driver message just click ok to continue.

Run Firmware Manager and follow the on-screen prompts, and all should be well.

Can't reinstall Firmware

It only sees the player if you are using Windows Media Player 10! Try a fresh computer. Get it to see the Zen Sleek by updating the driver. Load Media Player 10 (Not 11) and try the update firmware program again. Best of luck
