Thank you bobbyj, I will check this IC and will post back if good or not...

Thank you very much,if you have something more for help, please post me...

primary on the board is ok, when I disconnect colector from Horizontal output transistor,tv is work, not going to off, to standby, that mean when the secondary not work,tv is ok,but no picture on tv,why secondary on the board going to OCP!?all diodes is ok... B+ voltage is going to OCP,this voltage is going to flyback transformer, when disconnect B+ voltage from transformer,tv is working, and when disconnect colector from HOT,tv is working, but without secondary...

    thank you again...

Two flashes is OCP if the HOT is fine check for short on the CRT driver IC on the C,CV,or CW board IC1751 or IC1701 which ever it is labled.

Ok I've seen this before false flashes like OCP but was in reality vertical. check for +13 and -13 volts to the vetical IC if low replace vertical IC

  • Robert Johnson Jan 16, 2008

You can not remove the power from this IC and have a different result the result is the same because of the feedback to syscon. no vertical pulse, how ever the syscon also senses no H out because of the no start condition and sends the 2 flash code instead. this was corrected in later models. vertical IC is the problem.

your are correct!! the one thing I had forgot to ask you is had you rung the flyback? I always forget to ask that question. so yes the flyback would be the culpret, I had pondered on this all day while I was on the road and I couldn't wait to get to a computer to ask you the question. Happy fixing!!

Does the screen quickly blink on and then off? Sony Bravia KDL-55nx720 My tv is stuck in standby mode. Blinking twice.. Would replacing the power supply possibly fix this problem? Please help.

Normally yes. Blinking twice is power protection trip. Look first for open resistor, broken fuses (and short circuits or broken transistors / ICS if thats the case).

I need the code number of tv to enable me to use sky remote control

Please try 0863 for Hyundai Televisions To program your Sky remote control using the 4 digit code
  1. Switch on the TV set
  2. Press the TV button on the Sky Remote
  3. Hold down the Select and Red buttons for 2-3 seconds until the LED blinks twice
  4. Press the TV button on the Sky Remote again
  5. Enter 0863
  6. The LED should blink twice, if not recheck the 4 digit code used and go back to 1
  7. Press the standby button on the Sky Remote (The TV should go to standby)
  8. Press the Select button to store

If the TV does not go into standby press the TV button then the standby button, then TV then standby, keep repeating this until successful. This will scan the codes used for a particular make of TV.

Please keep me posted.

Thanks.

How do you tune Sky+ remote into Sony KDL46W5710 Television

The Sky+ remote should automatically default to Sony TV's. Leave the batteries out for a few minutes and try again. The Code for Sony is 0000.
Or try this :-

With TV and sky box on.
Press the 'TV' button on the remote.
Hold down the 'select' and the 'red' button (of the four coloured buttons) together, until the red light on the remote blinks twice. (takes 2 seconds)
Press the 'TV' button again.
Now enter four zeros, the red light on the remote should blink twice.
Press the 'standby' button (top right).
If the TV turns off, then press 'select' and the light should blink twice again, job done.

If the TV does not turn off then press 'TV' followed by 'standby' again.
Alternate pressing 'TV' 'Standby' until the TV turns off.
When it does, finish by pressing 'Select.
Check the red light on the remote, if it blinks 3 times, then it has run out of options for 0000.
