Heater blower stopped running. does the heater fuse/circuit breaker affect this?

Yes most likely the problem, however i had the fan motor
go, and the fan switch go. start with the fuse then, motor. you can test motor by supplying power straight
after you unhook it using a 12v battery. You best bet is
to buy a manual at a local wall mart or canadian tire for
about 29.95 which will let you repair just about anything.

No, should not affect the power windows. Something else made them stop working. If no windows work at all, could be a fuse for them is bad. If fuse is good (some vehicles use a circuit breaker rather than a fuse), then you need to start testing at the master power window switch, which is the window switch on the driver's door.

Sort of.
There is a 30amp circuit breaker that powers the blower relay.
Your owners manual should tell you where the circuit breaker is.

Where is fuse or circuit breaker for heater blower motor ?

the fuse is located in the fuse panel that is under the dash on the drivers side,some have a cover over them that will need removing to get access to the fuses.check the fuses with a test light(all fuses)you may have more than one fuse gone bad.there is no circuit breaker.also you may have a bad blower motor resister located in the air box near the blower motor itself.

Heater blower stops working

Hmm, a problem that I have not encountered before. My best guess is that some component within the heater setup is getting overheated and then it shuts off to avoid further damage. If the heater runs each time you start the car and then turns off during your travels, then this might be the case.

Secondly, there are circuit breakers located in the fuse box. These are silver and are about twice the size of a standard fuse. Unlike a standard fuse that blows once and is done, circuit breakers get hot and "trip". After they cool down the connection is made again. Look to see if a circuit breaker (sometimes labeled CB) is in the fuse box and serves the heater. You may want to get a new one.

My Blower motor for my heater on a 99 ford escort is not working.Is it the motor or resister that is gone??the fuses look ok where is the resister located can you send a diagram

look in passenger foot well on blower case for 4 wire connector.

resister bad would still allow high speed. may be blower motor.

  • The blower motor does not operate/does not operate correctly
  • Open fuse.
  • Tripped circuit breaker.
  • Circuitry open/shorted.
  • Heater blower motor switch (18578).
  • Heater blower motor switch resistor (18591).
  • Blower motor relay.
  • Blower motor.

Blower motor starts and stops

It sounds to me like an 'intermittently open circuit', or in plain language, when some part of the heater's circuit heats up a connection somewhere in the circuit 'opens up' stopping the flow of electricity. Then (10 minutes later?) when the circuit cools again the connection 'closes' again until warm. I would trace all the wires in that circuit from the fuse box to the blower motor (including fuse box & fuse) and look for broken or cracked insulation; make sure all connections are tight; I'd certainly check the heater's 'setting' switch (off,high, low switch) on the dash. It could also be a fusible link. This is a piece of wire somewhere in the circuit that 'feels' different than the other wire, more 'rubbery' and not as stiff. It's actually a little thinner wire inside than the rest of the circuit made to burn cleanly through (acting as a type of fuse) rather than over heating the circuit itself The problem has to be in this circuit, and something that 'opens' when heated. Fuse for heater fan

It is in the fuse compartment on the driver side, it is a 30 Amp Circuit Breaker in position number #15, this is not a fuse, a circuit breaker will reset after a short, so most likely this is not the problem. Take it to a radio shack and ask them to test it, if you have an ohm meter you can test it yourself. Have you had the blower switch tested, how about the motor, jum a couple of leads from the battery terminals and see if it runs.
