Monitor not receiving a signal

I have an LCD monitor. (LG 1900R 19')It has a High def interface cable. I have had to put a dongle on the end to get it to connect to my standard VGA D type port. (GeForce 2 MX400 graphics card). There seems to be no signal. I have seen the monitor working without a dongle on another PC. Screen reads "Analogue Power Save". Nothing else...PC is working fine, all connections have been double checked.

I have these monitors, didn't you get another cable in the pack which has a vga plug on the end? I have had trouble with those converters, try a DVI to VGA cable

My 19" lg monitor there

If you know the vga cable to be in good condition and the graphics card / chip on the computer to be working ok, then the issue is an internal one with the monitor. In all probability the monitor has a fault on the circuit board that controls the signal and will need specialist investigation

The monitor starts up displaying no signal

This means that the monitor is not receiving a video signal from the computer. When it doesn't receive a signal, it goes to sleep. You should check to make sure that the video cable is tightly connected, and also, if you have another monitor around, connect the other monitor to the computer and see if it works. It's possible that your monitor has malfunctioned.

Problem for LG 22" FLATRON Widescreen LCD Monitor LCD Monitor My monitor says analog power save and shuts off. Day before Yesterday I bought a new computer. I got the above mention problem on by...

The monitor is going itself to the Power Saver mode.It is not a problem of the monitor. This happens when there is no signal on the monitor. The monitor will display properly when there is an output signal on it.Please connect it to the computer and check that the output signals from the motherboard are proper. Also check both DVI (Digital Visual Interface) and VGA (Video Graphics Array)cables on the monitor.

Our LG screen will not work says for a brief moment its in Power saveing mode then noting to make it work.. I haev it oin our other computer & same result....

There's a set of buttons on the front where you can choose input source. Your monitor has probably been set inadvertently to receive a DVI signal while it's connected via a VGA cable, or vice versa. Other than that, check your connections. Remove the cables from their sockets at both ends, and ensure you connect them back snuggly and turn the screws hand tight only.
Good luck!

Viewsoniv VA 902 LCD 19" monitor

If the signal cable is detachable from the monitor, you could try with another cable... Regarding the power, I' not an expert, but if you're familiar with electronics basics, like risks of high voltage, soldering, etc, and you'd like to experiment with the unit, then I can give you some hints.

My LCD monitor is going into power saving mode

The monitor doesn't receive the signal from the PC. It is either the PC not booting up or the VGA coard is faulty. Change the VGA coard. or try reseting the VGA cord.

Out of range

You can try removing signal cable from pc.If it still says "Out of range" most probably main logic card or interface board as it is known in the lcd monitor could be defective. If on the other hand removing the signal cable gives message No signal ,cable not connected, try connecting monitor to another working known pc.If it still doesn't work the interface board in the monitor is defective.
