How do I use my router so I can open NAT on my xbox for xbox live?

1 Make sure your ZyXEL Device hardware is properly connected (refer to the Quick StartGuide).2 Prepare your computer/computer network to connect to the ZyXEL Device (refer to theQuick Start Guide).3 Launch your web browser.4 Type "192.168.1.1" as the URL.5 A window displays
6 For administrator access enter the default admin password 1234 to configure the wizardsand the advanced features.(or if you already changed your password, enter that password)7 On the right hand side of the screen you will see a drop down menu. click on NETWORK. 8 Then click on NAT.9 Find the area to configure Port Forwarding.10 The ports that Microsoft recommends to be open are:88 UDP3074 UDP3074 TCP
It also looks like you will have to set up a static address (I was looking at the .pdf for your particular router) You can do this by editing your network setting on your XBOX console, and then using this address as your "server" address when opening the above mentioned ports on your router.

I have a P-660HW-D1 v2 zyxel router but on our Xbox the NAT is always strict. I've looked at a few online guides and everyone says to go to UPnP and click all the boxes. Well I did that and still no open...

follow this guide
http://howto.wired.com/wiki/Set_Up_Port_Forwarding_on_Your_Xbox_360
setup your xbox with a static ip address.
setup your router with the following ports forward to the ip address you gave your xbox
Since you've already assigned a specific address to your Xbox, you can now open up the individual ports of this address. According to Microsoft, the ports that require forwarding are UDP 88, UDP 3074, and TCP 3074. If your router requests a range, just be sure that the numbers entered span this range (i.e., 87-89 for the first port, 3073-3075 for the second, and so on).

Hi. I want to change the MTU to 1364 so I can play on Xbox live using my zyxel P660 DW .

Can you play with XBox Live *without* changing the MTU ?
If so, then the "default" value can be used.

    NAT settings

A good reference for you can be found here:

    http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ZyXEL/P-660HW-D1/eMule.htm

Click on Network > NAT > Port Forwarding. Set up the range of ports, and call it Xbox or something. Or, you can disable the Firewall, but I wouldn't recommend this. Hope this helps!

My NAT setting is to strict to play xbox live.

You'll just need to open the port number for the specific game that doesn't play. Click the link below for the port number of your game. Use port forwarding feature of the zyxel when opening the game port.
