CANNOT PRINT WITH NEW COMPUTER

CANNOT CONFIGURE Z640 PRINTER WITH WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM.COMPTER LOADS THE PRINTER AUTOMATICALLY STATUS SHOWS READY,CAN'T PRINT ANY JOBS.
GET MESSAGE ABOUT 32 BIT HELP.
IS MY PRINTER NOT COMPATIBLE ?
IF NOT COULD YOU TELL ME WHAT PRINTER I CAN BUY.

    installed with new disc. o/k



    will print==, clean nozzles and alignments, but not documents .

    just bought new computer, everything else set up but lexmark z640 will not play the game, please help!!

    Just got windows vista tried to conect up lexmark z640 printer and tried to print but it keeps saying that printer is offline, how do i fix it please.

Go to control pannel / select printer icon/ put curser over lexmark 640 printer and right click /open properties / open ports .

tick LPT1 PORT AND TICK USB PORT then tick enable printer pooling and apply.

I had many problems with Vista fixed in this way.

1) Unistall drivers supplied with printer
2) Download new Vista drivers
3) Disconnect printer
4) Restart computer
5) Install new drivers (connect printer when it asks)
6) Restart computer

For me it now works.

Nothing will print and the printer status says error. We have never had a problem with this printer (3years) but last week it wasn't communicating with the computer and we had to reinstall via internet...


try reinstalling the driver again and take a new usb cable, if doesn't work try in another computer, if the problem were still there the main board may be damaged.

Problems printing on HP 1220c using vista


1.make sure printer is in ready condition(lamp indicator not blinking) and conected.if blinking thers problems with printer ,catridge or something
2.contrlol panel>printer chek status of printer.if 'offline' its not properly conected.if 'ready' then>
3.download hp diagnostic tool from hp website and run it.it will detect the problem and follow the instruction.if not work>
4.uninstal driver and printer,reinstal it.if not work>
5.try on another comptr.
