Question about Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP Console

Does not come on

My unit does not turn on any longer. I thought it was the battery but it does exactly the same thing with a new battery which was just purchased from Nintendo. When I turn the power switch on, the screen flickers once for a very short period of time (1/5 second) and nothing happens.

    bob,

Thanks for your information. I tried moving battery around but it did not help. Any other solutions?

Thanks Lil J12 but that was the first thing I tried and it did charge OK but the unit did not turn on.

The battery is dead, it will not charge up or turn on. The screen may flick for one second that is all. I have tried a new charger but did not work. Please advise. Thanks

Maybe the battery connectors are going bad? Try moving the battery around within the battery slot and see how it reacts when turned on. (Make sure you take any game out of the cartridge slot or else you might lose save data from it quickly turning on and off.)

On my Cyber Power 525SL the power light goes on and off for each plug in. The power on light only stays lit for a few seconds. I didn't want to dispose of unit if there's a way to get it fixed.

The power light was going on and off. Ordered a new battery and replaced the old battery. Now a new problem started. When the unit was turned on with the new battery it would shut down immediately. Would not even cycle on and off any more. Thought it was the new battery. Tested the voltage on the new battery and it around 14 volts. I put the old battery back in and it no longer pulsed on and off any more. Further investigation it was noticed that a little white plug that plugs into the circuit board had come loose when replacing the battery. This little plug is located right by the negative terminal on the battery. It is in a very tight spot and if you push the battery into place this plug will become loose. Reseated this little plug and that solved the two problems. First replacing the defective battery and then reseating that loose plug.

My Sony Walkman MP3 player will not power on. I thought that it was because the charger was broken, so I bought a new one. To my surprise, it was not the charger.

If the battery was completely dead you may need to leave it plugged in for a few minutes for the battery to be charged enough to turn the unit on. Also sometimes the battery can be so bad that it will no longer take a charge. The charging mechanism inside your GPS may not be charging the battery properly either.

I have had an Exilim EX-Z75 for just over a year. Suddenly I'm having trouble charging the battery. No matter how long I leave it on charge the light keeps flashing and the battery is not charged. Do I...

Yes you need a new battery. I had the same problem almost exactly a year ago. You need to contact Casio and tell them the problem, they should send you a new battery free of charge. This is the proper number to call, 1 800 435 7732. Just tell them your battery charger is flashing red when you are trying to charge and they will send you a new battery.

Garmin Street Pilot C550 went dead

Did you try reset button? There's also a 2 amp fuse in the cigarette lighter plug in charger. If it's blown and battery is dead unit won't work.

Phone not turning on

Okay, so i had the same exact problem and heres how i fixed it... first i took off the battery cover exposing the screws holding the speaker/phone charger part on and unscrewed them i took a hair dryer to the phone drying up any water (because it did this to me while i was in the rain and i thought it may be water damage) and the little 4 pronged part that your battery terminal thing touches to and pushed them gently when i put my battery back on the part i took off with the screws pushed the battery up at an angel when i tried turning my phone on it worked fine so i thought the hair dryer must have done it but when i tightened the screws back up the phone turned off... its clearly a connectivity problem with the battery thing (the 4 brass triangle type things) my phone works now but the back is a little loose seeing as how i cant tighten the screws up... its not a complete fix but hey it works right.

Hope this helps,

Greg.

Bose Wave Radio audio issues

For folks with no CD audio and disc with flashin cd in window you must remove all power from the unit for one minute. This inclludes removing the battery from the bottom of the player. Yes there is a battery in your unit. Wait one minute, Put in new battery and plug unit in. This solved the problem for me.

Suddenly turning off

Your battery is dead. You'll need to return it to Garmin for repairs. Mine did the exact same thing. Functioned fine in the cradle - showed full battery - but shut off immediately upon removal. They know about the problem and shipped me a new unit for free.
