I have this model Bendix washer dryer, because it has no venting it drys and holds the condensed air inside, just let it run about 80 min per load then take out each item, shake well to release the condensed vapor, lay over a bed or chair for about 5 minutes.. it will be dry. That is the way it is designed to work. Enjoy

Problem's the heating element or the thermostat. Take the top off & check that the heating element's getting energized. If it's energized then the thermostat and timer are doing their jobs. Turn it off, unplug it & check the resistance of the element. If it's infinite then replace it. I found a great parts place, if you need one. Got the manual, you say? Could you scan it for me?

Moisture sensor not working

Once I discovered that the problem was not the dryer, I went into my crawl space and discovered the plastic duct was clogged with lint. Apparently the duct was not changed since the house was built over five years ago! The 4" duct was also duct taped to a 3" connector. Additionally the line ran into the crawl space at a 90 degree angle in a space that was only 2" wide! My husband adjusted the way the line ran into the crawl space and replaced it with a rigid aluminum duct. The auto sense works on my dryer and it takes only 30 min. to dry a load of laundry instead of 1-1/2 hours!

The problem is in the heater assembly.  You will need to get a volt/ohm meter and find out where the problem is in the heater assembly.

Dryer seems to work, but clothes end up damp?

Corwyn, looks like the problem you are having is not with the dryer. The vent line is probably clogged up, which caused the moisture to stay inside the dryer. To make sure this is a vent problem, you can disconnect the vent hose behind the dryer and run it for one load with it disconnected. If it runs fine, then the vent line needs cleaning. Usually it needs special equipment and is very hard to do yourself. It would cost you around $90 to get a professional out to do it for you. back.
