Can someone please e-mail me a valid office 2007 professional key? My e-mail is b_varner@hotmail.com.

I cant locate my CD and I had to purchase a new laptop. When I contacted Microsoft they told me that I would need the CD in order for them to issue me a new key. I really don't want to purchase another copy of the software.

I downloaded the trail version and tried many of the keys available on-line, however only one seemed to be active. When I entered the active key everything took, however after I open word it still showed as trial and I was unable to write in word or send e-mail in outlook. I am in need of an active key ASAP as my eval has expired.

    Thank you.

Try to reinstall it, or repair it. I am not sure if it will work.

Maybe you can copy the office and change its name or so anything to make it different from the original, and maybe it won't recognize it and you will have unlimited times.

I'm not sure if that even works, but try it.

We don't provide here a key, remember piracy is illegal. You must buy your own genuine product key for your office 2007.

It simply means your copy of Microsoft Word 2007 is expired. It's not possible even with tools or with any programs, your only option is to buy a full version of Microsoft Word 2007.
Good luck.

Hello there Jovan,

Fixya does not provide product keys to any software application especially Microsoft's. You should understand that using "free" product keys is illegal - that is software piracy and it would take you into trouble in the future. I would highly recommend that if you want to use MS Office for good, then you would have to purchase a genuine license.

The product key is the key issued by Microsoft that proves the copy you have was purchased or is legitimate. If you don't have the key, you don't have a legal copy. If you have an original disk and package from MS then the key should be on the back of the package.

My suspicion is that you have a pirated copy....why would you need a "Corporate License" copy if you aren't working for a large company? If you ARE working for a large corp, go to you IT manager and get the key from them.

Hello,

Install it if you have not done so yet. Run word. It should ask you to activate it and give you instructions concerning the procedure to follow.

If not Press the orb (sphere) at the top left corner of the window, select Option Word at the very bottom of the pop up window. A new window opens. Look for Resources at the bottom of the left frame. You will be shown some of the resources among them Activate. You should connected to the Internet to do so.

Hope it helps

If you buy a license for the office suite, it will only ask for the product key one time and it will unlock word, outlook, excel, powerpoint, and access. if you purchase the professional version, this will include publisher and any other office suite software.

You will want to check your receipt from Toshiba, sometimes that is included in your purchase - but often times it is just a trial. To unlock Word you will need to purchase a license (product key) from Microsoft.

Hello,
Read here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...406121033.aspx

And

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/818852

If all else fails you may try this AT YOUR OWN RISK as I do not vouch for the fix listed here.

As far as I know, Office Password Unlocker is capable of removing ms document passwords, including password to open and password to edit.

You can solve this problem with Word Password Recovery 5.0

1. Download product from Password Recovery Official site
2. Decompress the product and install follow the step-to-step guide.
3. Open the installed software, choose the forgotten passwords file, then you will find there have three types of password attack, brute-force attack, brute-force attack with mask, and dictionary attack. You can use either of the attack for your situation to effectively crack the password in a time as short as possible.
Finally, you only have to press the start bottom then you'll find you lost password.

Thanks,
Bhautesh

You will need to purchase a copy of the product any keys you find on the internet will be pirated and software piracy is illegal.

If you don't want to purchase a copy of MS Office you could always try using Open Office which is a free alternative and can open almost all the file types MS Office can.

Microsoft Products have to be purchased. You have probably downloaded a Trial Version which has expired and would require you to purchase it.

FREEWARE (is FREE applications).

One of the most popular in the Industry, is OpenOffice. It can be downloaded via the link below:

http://www.openoffice.org/

Open Office interfaces with Microsoft Office and other industry standard (Paid Products) and is available for MAC, PC and Unix.

I hope this helps. Please rate. Regards,

MS Office and Word is not a free program. If you downloaded it with a key then you commited piracy. don't worry not yelling at you about it just making you aware of it. Mostlikely the key was locked out by Microsoft and your computer updated Office then found the key is not genuine or is locked and then stopped your use.

i would suggest openoffice.org foudn at www.openoffice.org it is free to use and will open most other application files like Word, Excel, Access, Dbase, Lotus, Wordperfect and more.

If this is a trial then there is nothing you can do really other then to remove it and install another trial. Keep in mind it is only a trial though and will expire as well.. If you are using a product key from a Office CD that you have purchased then uninstall the trial on the computer and install yours. It could be that it is two different versions of Office.

The best thing to do at this point is to, (Uninstall) the Software. The software did not install successfully. Open the start menu; click on "Control Panel." Find: "Programs", click to open "Uninstall a program" click on the program to "uninstall" / "remove" or "repair". Follow the instructions carefully. Try to install a different (free trial download). *Note: Do not have any other programs open, or applications running while "Software" is downloading.

Product key, CD key, key code, installation key - they're all different words for that long series of numbers and letters that many software programs require you to enter during the setup process. The product key exists as one way to ensure that you have a valid copy of a piece of software.

When you install or reinstall a Microsoft Office system program, you are prompted to type or paste the 25-character product key. The product key is used during Microsoft software installation to "unlock" or to open the product. If you do not enter the product key when you are prompted during the installation, the product may not open.

To find the product key for a trial version, check the following locations:

  • Desktop Trial icon when a preinstalled trial is available.
  • Sticker on CD case or other packaging.
  • Microsoft Product Identifier Card.
  • Confirmation e-mail message that was received from an online download or renewal notice.
hope it could help. Good luck!

Wow. Somehow, the stuff you chose to ignore was the program telling you how many more times you could run it without a serial number. I think it was 25 to start, and it kept counting even when you just opened up excel or word to look at a file.

Since this is fixya and not alt.pirates.com, it's not likely you'll find a free solution here. There are alternatives to Word and Excel, most notably at openoffice.org. My genuine microsoft stuff comes from Purplus.com. Again, it's not free, but it's low cost. A copy of 2003 Office Pro runs about $115.

If you have a friend who goes to college, you might hook up with them and get student editions of the program. I think they can nab you a copy of Office 2007 for around $50. The only problem is it might be missing some things like Front Page and Outlook.

Lastly, you can buy yourself 60 days if you just go to Microsoft.com and download and register Office 2007 trial version. It really unlocks your program and you can try it.
That gives you 60 days to save up to buy a real copy of Office something from any of the sources above.

Good Luck.

Carl

You only need one product key for the whole of microsoft office 2007 professional. once you have installed that you do not need separate product keys for each program word, excel, access etc.

the product id should be on a label stuck to the back of the yellow retail box that the software came in when you originally bought it

You will need to purchase Word from Microsoft and if you have already purchased the retail version the product key should be included with the CD. As an alternative you can download OpenOffice for free, it is compatible with word documents and most of all it free. get it at OpenOffice.org.

You probably have a trial version.

You have to buy an activation key on Microsoft´s web pages and activate your program.

If that is not the case, then:

1. Go the office bottom at the top left corner of the window
2. In that drop down menu, click the "word option" button at the right end.
3. In that resources is the only option you can go with, so click the option and in that
sub-options click the "activate microsoft office" click "activate" button.
4. This option validates your word working duration, click finish.
5. close if any office is opened and re-start it again. You will see it would have activated.

I hope it helps

Here is a loophole for Word 2007.
When opening a Password protected (read only) document (.docx)
Go Save As - File Type Word 97-2003 Document (.doc) - Tools (button, bottom left of file save window) - General Options - Unprotect Document - Ok - Save

Anything is possible.....!

After the trial period expires The software goes into reduced functionality mode. Some of the limitations of reduced functionality mode include the following:
- You can not create any new files.
- You can view existing files, but you can not modify them.
- You can print files, but you can not save them.
How to Convert Microsoft Office 2007 to Full Version This requires that Microsoft Office 2007 has been installed without the product key in the first place.
Once Microsoft Office 2007 has been installed with no product key, proceed as follows:
1. In Windows Explorer, browse to the following folder:
C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedOFFICE12Office Setup ControllerProof.en
2. Right click on Proof.XML file, select Open With in the right click menu.
3. In the Open With window, select Notepad to be used to open the XML file.
[Note: In Windows Vista, if you can’t see the Notepad option, simply double click the “Other Programs” to unhide it.]
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Proof.XML to locate the following lines:
<feature Id="SetupXmlFiles" Cost="1248′><optionref Id=”AlwaysInstalled”/></feature>
5. Change the AlwaysInsalled to neverInstalled so that the line looks like following:
<optionref Id="neverInstalled"/>
6. Save the Proof.xml file.
[In Windows Vista, you may need to take ownership and grant full access permission to yourself before able to modify the file. We already have a detailed article on that. Here is the link to How to take Ownership of a File in Windows Vista]
7. You can now launch Microsoft Office 2007 application such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and etc without prompting for activation.

The key on the back of your computer will only work for the operating system. You should have received a seperate card with you computer that says "Microsoft Office" and has the key code on it.

Hi, I've just installed Microsoft Office Publisher 2010 on my PC (Vista Basic). It works fine and everything. However the saved publisher files have icons like blank pages and won't open automatically...

Hello:
You can manually locate Microsoft Publisher when going to the "open with" dialog. Follow the steps below:
  1. Right click on a Publisher file.
  2. Choose "Open With..."
  3. Choose "Choose Default Program..."
  4. A dialog box will open. There is a list of programs at the top.
  5. Near the bottom of the dialog box, there should be a link that says "Browse..." Click it.
  6. You need to locate the Microsoft Publisher Program. For Office 2010, it should be at:
x86: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 14\MSPUB.exe
x64: C:\Program FIles (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office 14\MSPUB.exe
7. Click once on the file and choose "Open" 8. Check the box called "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" 9. Confirm your selections and click "OK" at the bottom of the dialog box.

Tip

Add Specific Folders to the Open Dialog Box

When you use certain Windows applications (such as Notepad) to open a file, on the left side of the Open dialog box are a group of icons and folders (such as My Documents, My Recent Documents, Desktop, My Computer, and My Network) to which you can navigate to open files.
Good idea, bad implementation. Do you really keep documents in My Computer? Unlikely, at best. It would be much more helpful if you could list only those folders that you use, and if you could choose to put any folder there, not just ones XP decides you need.
In fact, you can do it, with a Registry hack. It'll let you put just the folders of your choosing on the left side of the Open dialog box. Note that when you do this, it will affect XP applications such as Notepad and Paint that use the Open and Save common dialog boxes. However, it won't affect Microsoft Office applications and other applications that don't use the common dialog boxes.
TIP: If you want to change the dialog "frequently used" folders for Microsoft Word, try Woody Leonhard's Place Bar Customizer, one of many useful utilities from http://www.wopr.com/.
Run the Registry Editor and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\comdlg32. This is the key that determines how common dialog boxes are handled. You're going to create a subkey that will create a customized location for the folders, and then give that subkey a series of values, each of which will define a folder location.
To start, create a new subkey underneath HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\comdlg32 called Placesbar, and create a String value for it named Place0. Give Place0 a value of the topmost folder that you want to appear on the Open dialog box-e.g., C:\Projects.
Next, create another String value for Placesbar called Place1. Give it a value of the second folder that you want to appear on the Open dialog box. You can put up to five icons on the Open dialog box, so create new String values up to Place4 and give them values as outlined in the previous steps. When you're done, exit the Registry. You won't have to reboot for the changes to take effect
If you want no folders to appear in common open dialog boxes, you can do that as well. In HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\comdlg32 create a new DWORD value called NoPlacesBar and give it a value of 1. Exit the Registry. If you want the folders back, either delete NoPlacesBar or give it a value of 0.
Turn Off System Beeps
To me, system beeps that my PC makes when it encounters certain system errors are like balloon tips-gnat-like annoyances that I can do without. So I turn them off using a Registry hack. Run the Registry Editor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Sound, and find the Beep and ExtendedSounds String values. Set each value to No. Exit the Registry and reboot. The beeps will no longer sound.

If you installed Office 2007, it configures itself as the program to be used to "open" any 'DOC' files.

Then, use 'File' and 'Open' to select & read your file from your USB flash-drive.
